    Abstract: A method for channel measurement is provided when a mobile terminal is configured with a primary component carrier and a secondary component carrier. The mobile terminal receives configuration information for channel measurement in the secondary component carrier from a base station. The mobile terminal derives the channel measurement in the secondary component carrier based on a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) when the configuration information includes a first indicator indicating that CSI-RS is used for the channel measurement in the secondary component carrier, or deriving the channel measurement in the secondary component carrier based on a cell-specific reference signal (CRS) when the configuration information does not include the first indicator.

    Abstract: A method of allocating control information in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes: allocating essential control information of a first system to a first sub-frame in a frame including a plurality of sub-frames each of which comprises a plurality of orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols; and allocating essential control information of a second system to an nth sub-frame in a fixed position from the first sub-frame (where n is an integer satisfying n>1). Accordingly, in a frame supporting heterogeneous systems, essential control information can be fixedly allocated to a specific position while maintaining the number of system switching points, at which switching occurs between the systems, to one even if a radio resource allocation amount changes between the systems, and thus the essential control information that must be received by all user equipments can be effectively provided without the increase of overhead.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, and more particularly, to a method and apparatus for reporting channel state information. A method in which a terminal reports control state information (CSI) in a wireless communication system according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a step of determining rank indicator (RI) report timing for cases where a value of a precoding type indicator (PTI) is 0; a step of determining wideband first precoding matrix indicator (PMI) report timing; a step of determining wideband second precoding matrix indicator report timing and wideband channel quality indicator (CQI) report timing; and a step of reporting said CSI based on the result of the determination on the reporting timing. The CSI which is reported firstly after the RI report timing in cases where the value of the PTI is 0 can be set to become said wideband first PMI.

    Abstract: A method of configuring a measurement for a mobile terminal configured with a plurality of component carriers in a wireless communication system is discussed. The method is performed by a base station and includes transmitting, by the base station, configuration information to the mobile terminal.
