摘要: The present disclosure generally relates to a two-door closure system for a motor vehicle including a body having an A-pillar and a C-pillar being spaced from one another. According to an aspect of the disclosure, the closure system includes a front door having a front edge that is pivotably connected to the A-pillar. The closure system also includes a rear door that has a rearward edge that is pivotably coupled to the C-pillar of the vehicle body. At least one swivel hinge unit is provided that has a first pivot pin that is pivotably connected to the rearward edge of the rear door, and a second pivot pin for being pivotably connected to the C-pillar of the vehicle body to allow the rear door to initially pivot and translate away from the front door prior to pivoting the rear door between an open and closed position about the second pivot pin.

摘要: A non-contact obstacle detection (NCOD) system for a motor vehicle and a method of operating the non-contact obstacle detection system are disclosed. The NCOD system includes a main electronic control unit adapted to connect to a power source. At least one non-contact obstacle sensor is coupled to the main electronic control unit for detecting obstacles near a closure member of the vehicle. The control unit is configured to detect an obstacle and cease movement of the closure member in response to the obstacle being detected. Additionally, the control unit is configured to release a latch and apply power to a motor in response to the obstacle not being detected. The control unit is also configured to determine whether the closure member is in a full open position, and continue to apply power to a motor coupled to the closure member if the closure member is not in the full open position.

摘要: A touch and gesture pad for a swipe/tap entry verification system and a method of operating the touch and gesture pad are disclosed. The touch and gesture pad includes a housing that defines a compartment. The touch and gesture pad includes a wiring connector for attachment to a wiring harness to provide power and communication with a processing unit. A PCB is disposed in the compartment. A plurality of IR TOF sensors are disposed on and electrically connected to the PCB for sensing gestures and touches to the touch and gesture assembly. The plurality of IR TOF sensors each includes a transmitter for transmitting an infrared beam and a receiver for receiving the infrared beam after reflection from an object near one of the plurality of IR TOF sensors and for outputting an IR TOF signal to the processing unit indicating touches or gestures.

摘要: A skate sharpening fixture. The skate sharpening figure including an anvil base plate that is suspended on a lower plate. An upper anvil plate is connected to the anvil base plate and presents an upper anvil surface for resting a skate blade therealong. A clamp assembly is mounted relative to the upper anvil plate and includes a clamp for biasing the skate blade against the upper anvil surface to establish a closed and clamped position of the skate sharpening fixture. At least one of the anvil base plate, the lower plate, or the clamp are comprised of a lightweight material for reducing an overall weight of the skate sharpening fixture and placing a center of gravity of the skate sharpening fixture in close proximity to an operator's position.

摘要: A non-contact obstacle detection (NCOD) system for an opening in a vehicle includes a cover panel, such as a glass pane, slidable between opened and closed positions within the opening. The system includes one or more infrared time-of-flight (IR-TOF) sensors which measure the length of a beam of infrared light by measuring the time that the infrared light in the beam takes to travel the length of the beam and to reflect back to the sensor. The IR-TOF sensors may be configured to provide a beam of light along either the side edge of the frame parallel to the sliding direction or a terminal edge generally transverse to the sliding direction. Methods are provided for detecting obstacles within the opening of the frame by controllers using the lengths of beams from each of those different beam configurations, and for self-calibrating the system.

摘要: A power swing door drive actuator for moving a passenger swing door relative to a body portion of a motor vehicle. The power swing door actuator includes a housing, a motor operably mounted to the housing, and a leadscrew of a spindle drive mechanism rotatably driven by the motor for causing relative translational movement of a drive nut relative to the leadscrew which, in turn, results in the vehicle door swinging between open and closed positions in response to selective actuation of the motor. A first articulation joint unit couples an elongate extensible member fixed to the drive nut to the vehicle body while a second articulation joint unit couples the housing to the vehicle door.
