Abstract: An internal combustion engine gasket includes a plurality of annular plates that are stacked. Each of the annular plates includes: a through-hole; an inner circumferential portion; a plurality of bolt holes; an outer circumferential portion; and an intermediate portion. The annular plates includes: a grommet plate having a fold-back portion in the inner circumferential portion; and first and second seal plates stacked on both sides of the grommet plate, and having a bead in the intermediate portion. The inner circumferential portion of the first seal plate is wrapped or held by the fold-back portion of the grommet plate. A spacer member is formed between the grommet plate and the first or second seal plate along the entire circumference of the outer circumferential portion so as to have a thickness smaller than or equal to the grommet plate and include all of the bolt holes.

Abstract: An engine equipped with a turbo supercharger has an exhaust manifold coupled to an engine body, a turbo supercharger including a turbine housing demarcating a turbine chamber and a supply path of exhaust air, and a turbine insulator covering the same, and a manifold insulator covering at least the upper surface of the exhaust manifold and the side surface of the exhaust manifold on the turbo supercharger side. The exhaust manifold has a flange as a connection section with respect to the turbo supercharger. The manifold insulator has a cut-away section exposing a joining surface of the flange, and an opening caused by having the interval between the cut-away edge of the cut-away section and the outer peripheral edge of the flange be relatively wider in a predetermined position than in other positions.

Abstract: An exhaust device for an engine includes an engine main body having a cylinder head provided with a manifold exhaust passage formed with a gathering exhaust port, a turbo supercharger, a catalyst device provided adjacent to the turbo supercharger, and a processing device disposed on the same side as the cylinder head surface of the engine main body. The processing device includes an exhaust gas processing device and an EGR device. The turbo supercharger guides exhaust gas discharged from the gathering exhaust port upward. The catalyst device includes a carrier, and a container which allows the exhaust gas to pass through a lower region of the carrier. The EGR device and the exhaust gas processing device are at least disposed below the catalyst device.

Abstract: Disclosed is a controller for a turbocharged engine. The engine includes a supercharger configured to supercharge intake air using an exhaust gas from the engine, and including movable flaps arranged so that a boost pressure generated in an intake passage is adjustable. If a rotational speed of a turbine and compressor that constitute the supercharger has reached a first threshold lower than an endurance limit, an amount of fuel injected to the engine is reduced to a predetermined amount. If the rotational speed has reached a second threshold lower than the first threshold, the amount of fuel injected is reduced in accordance with an excess of the rotational speed over the second threshold.
