Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for producing tricarbonitriles corresponding to formula I wherein n is an integer from 2 to 11 by forming an intermediate in the presence of a strong base in a first stage from an aliphatic &agr;-&ohgr;-dinitrile corresponding to formula II wherein n is an integer from 3 to 12, and reacting the intermediate in a second stage to form a trinitrile corresponding to formula I by the addition of acrylonitrile.
Abstract:
A process for preparing aliphatic C4-18 &agr;,&ohgr;-dicarboxylic acids by oxidation of C6-20 &agr;,&ohgr;-dienes with hydrogen peroxide or compounds which release hydrogen peroxide under the reaction conditions as is characterized in that the reaction is carried out in the presence of a transition metal catalyst of group VI and of a mixture containing at least one organic acid and one aprotic organic solvent. A specific temperature profile is maintained at different phases of the reaction, which increases yield and selectivity.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for preparing a dinitronaphthalene isomer mixture having an increased proportion of 1,5-dinitronaphthalene by nitrating naphthalene in the presence of at least one ionic liquid.
Abstract:
The invention provides a process for preparing 4-aminodiphenylamine, an important starting product for synthesizing antioxidants and stabilizers in the rubber and polymer industry, by hydrogenating nitrosobenzene with hydrogen in the presence of a proton acid as catalyst and in the presence of a hydrogenating catalyst, optionally in the presence of an inert organic solvent and thermally decomposing the 4-ADPA ammonium salt produced in this way, wherein 4-ADPA is obtained. 4-aminodiphenylamine is produced in good yields and high purity by the process according to the present invention. Furthermore, no effluent is produced, which makes the process particularly economic and ecological.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a process for the production of 1,5-naphthalenediamine and to the intermediates 4-(2-nitrophenyl)butyronitrile, 5-nitro-3,4-dihydro-1(2H)-naphthyl-imine, 5-nitroso-1-naphthylamine, 5-nitro-1-naphthylamine, 4-(2-aminophenyl)-butyronitrile, 5-amino-3,4-dihydro-1(2H)-naphthalene imine, 4-(2-nitrophenyl)ethyl butyrate and 4-(2-nitrophenyl)butyramide obtainable during the process.
Abstract:
There is disclosed a process for transporting fracture fluid additives underground to oil and gas wells by attaching a fracture fluid additive to an ion exchange resin and flowing the ion exchange resin underground and thereafter releasing the frac fluid additives from the ion exchange resins and also there is provided the use of an ion exchange resin as a proppant and a frac fluid lubricant.
Abstract:
Disclosed are processes for preparing monomer complexes that include contacting 2,3,5,6-tetraminopyridine free base in water with 2,5-dihydroxy terephthalic acid dipotassium salt to form an aqueous mixture, and adjusting the pH of the aqueous mixture to within the range of from about (3) to about (5) to precipitate the monomer complex. Processes of polymerizing the monomer complexes, polyareneazoles, filaments and yarns are also disclosed.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the use of inorganic salts for increasing the adsorption of oxoanions and/or thioanalogues thereof to metal-doped ion exchangers, preferably to iron oxide/iron oxyhydroxide-containing ion exchangers, preferably from water or aqueous solutions, and also the conditioning of these metal-doped ion exchangers having increased adsorption behaviour toward oxoanions and/or thioanalogues thereof by using inorganic salts with the exception of amphoteric ion exchangers which have both acidic and basic groups as functional groups.
