    摘要: An electrophoretic display method, using a display dispersion system which includes a dispersion medium, at least one electrophoretically movable coloring material (A) of coloring particles, and at least one electrophoretically immovable coloring material (B) of coloring particles, each of the coloring materials (A) and (B) having a different color tone and being dispersed in the dispersion medium, including the step of selectively causing the coloring material (A) to electrophoretically migrate through the dispersion medium in a predetermined direction in response to an electric field externally applied thereto, while causing the electrophoretically immovable coloring material (B) to stay in the dispersion medium. An electrophoretic display apparatus is provided with the display medium and a recording unit.

    摘要: a thermosensitive recording material comprising a thermosensitive layer provided on a substrate, and the thermosensitive layer comprises as main ingredients a leuco dye and a developer to make colored state of said leuco dye when heated, wherein the developer is an oligomer composition obtained from the reaction of a polyvalent isocyanate compound represented by following Formula (I) with an aromatic amine represented by following Formula (II)); where X represents a try- or more- valent group, a represents an integer numeral of 3 or more, b and c represent respectively integer numerals in the range of 0 to 5 and they satisfy a relation of b+c=1 to 5, Z represents hydrogen atom, alkyl group, allyl group or aryl group, and the aryl group may include condensed ling structure thereof, and d represents an integer numeral in the range of 0 to 4. This developer shows excellent reliabilities of both image and background area, and also shows an excellent color-developing characteristics (color developing sensitivity and image density).

    摘要: A thermosensitive recording material having a support, a thermosensitive recording layer containing a leuco dye and a color developer, and an intermediate layer interposed therebetween. The intermediate layer contains hollow particles having a hollowness of 60 to 98%, a maximum particle diameter (D100) of 5.0 to 10.0 &mgr;m and a ratio D100/D50 of the maximum particle diameter (D100) to the median volume equivalent particle diameter (D50) in the range of 1.5 to 3.0. The hollow particles may be composed of a crosslinked polymer of a chlorine-free vinyl monomer.
