Abstract:
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to devices, methods, apparatuses and computer readable storage media for transferring traffic in integrated access and backhaul (IAB) communication. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, a first Central Unit-Control Plane (CU-CP) of a first IAB donor transmits, to a second CU-CP of a second IAB donor, a request to transfer target traffic via a Distributed Unit (DU) of the second IAB donor. The request comprises first information of the target traffic. The first CU-CP receives, from the second CU-CP, second information to be used for configuring the target traffic. This solution can improve the reliability and robustness of the IAB communication.
Abstract:
Various communication systems may benefit from load balancing. For example, wireless communication systems may benefit from controlled load balancing between access networks with various policies from different sources. A method can include selecting a rule to apply to a user equipment with respect to selection of radio access between cellular radio access and non-cellular radio access. The method can also include sending a traffic steering command to the user equipment, wherein the command contains an indication of the rule.
Abstract:
A technique of performing a handover procedure involves providing a proper timing adjustment indication for the UE performing RACH-less HO. Even though the discussion herein is on IAB scenarios and the idea takes an advantage of IAB nodes being in fixed locations (i.e., not moving in the network), it can be applied to UEs in general. The timing adjustment provided in performing a HO in an IAB network according to the improved techniques involves computing a timing advance (TA) to be used by an IAB node prior to executing HO to an alternative serving node. Such a use of a TA may enable a bypassing of a RACH procedure when accessing a cell.
Abstract:
Exemplary embodiments including a method including determining a user equipment of a wireless communication network is in an autonomous mobility mode; receiving an indication from the wireless communication network of a data communication available for the user equipment; and based on the indication, establishing a connection between the user equipment and a network node of the wireless communication network. Apparatus, program products, and software to perform the exemplary embodiments are also disclosed.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to devices, methods, apparatuses and computer readable media for communication during inter-donor topology adaptation. A first device transmits, to a second device, first information about a first communication interface between the first device and a third device, receives, from the second device, an indication that context information associated with at least one fourth device and the first communication interface is retained, and uses the context information in communication via a second communication interface between the first device and the second device. The second device receive the first information, transmit, to the third device, a request for obtaining the context information, and receive the context information from the third device. In this way, reestablishment procedure can be simplified, and signaling over Xn interface, F1 interface and wireless backhaul can be minimized Further, latencies and service break for the terminal devices at the change of the IAB-donor can be reduced.
Abstract:
It is provided a method, including monitoring if an information on an update of a system information of a first cell is received; checking if a terminal is registered as being served by at least one cell of a group of one or more cells including the first cell; checking if the terminal becomes reachable after being asleep; requesting to page the terminal by a paging message if the information on the update is received, the terminal is served by the at least one cell of the group, and the terminal becomes reachable, wherein the paging message includes an indication on the update.
Abstract:
A method for adjusting transmit timing is disclosed. The method includes determining a reference timing advance value TAref, receiving a time offset parameter; and adjusting downlink transmit timing based on i) detected downlink receive timing of radio node and ii) the reference timing advance value TAref and the time offset parameter.
