Abstract:
REGs are mapped to REs for UEs to all available OFDM symbols for a subframe, which includes a time-frequency resource space including the OFDM symbols in time and subcarriers in frequency. The mapping is performed to form a portion of a control channel and the available symbols are OFDM symbols not used for another control channel. The REs are populated in the portion of the control channel with control information for the UEs using corresponding ones of the REGs. The mapping and the populating are performed to form a complete control channel over one or more subframes, wherein the complete control channel can span a single subframe or multiple subframes. The one or more subframes with the complete control channel are transmitted. A UE will blind decode received subframe(s) in order to determine the control information, which is to be subsequently used by the UE to receive or transmit data.
Abstract:
An example technique may include: receiving, by a mobile station from a base station, a plurality of copies of a broadcast information including a broadcast control message, wherein a copy of the broadcast information is transmitted via each of a plurality of basis function beams; determining, by the mobile station, a gain and phase value for each copy of at least a subset of the plurality of the received copies of the broadcast control message transmitted via different basis function beams. The technique may also include, for example, determining, by the mobile station, a combined broadcast control message based on at least the subset of the plurality of the received copies of the broadcast control message and the gain and phase value for each copy of at least the subset of the plurality of the received copies of the broadcast control message.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus can be configured to receive a first scheduling request. The first scheduling request corresponds to a request for a first access point to process data. The method can also include transmitting a second scheduling request. The second scheduling request corresponds to a request to transmit data to a second access point. The transmitting the second scheduling request comprises transmitting the second scheduling request before the data is processed at the first access point.
Abstract:
A method comprising: sending, from a first access point, a scheduling assignment to a first user equipment at a first time; receiving, at the first access point, a reference signal transmission from the first user equipment at a second time; and sending, from the first access point, a downlink data packet transmission to the first user equipment at a third time.
Abstract:
A method comprises, in a carrier aggregation system having multiple component carriers, utilizing an air interface based collision avoidance procedure on at least one component carrier that is associated to a cellular radio access technology to check that a radio resource in the at least one component carrier is available; and thereafter communicating on the radio resource using the cellular radio access technology only if the check reveals that the radio resource is available.
Abstract:
Apparatuses and methods in a communication system and controlling power of wireless power transfer are disclosed. A solution includes receiving from at least one terminal device information on power conversion window of wireless power transfer transmission requested by the terminal device, determining the power level of wireless power transfer transmission based at least in part on the received information and controlling wireless power transfer transmission based on the determination.
Abstract:
Method including: receiving, on a feeder link, a signal including feeder link slots having a feeder link bandwidth; mapping each of the feeder link slots onto a respective slot-subband in a respective service link slot according to a rule; transmitting, on plural service links, service signals, wherein each of the service signals includes service link slots each including m of the slot-subbands having a same bandwidth; the m slot-subbands do not overlap, are continuous with each other, and cover an entire service link bandwidth of the respective service link slot; wherein the feeder link slots have a feeder link slot duration; the service link slots have a service link slot duration longer than the feeder link slot duration; each of the feeder link slots including respective symbols; each of the slot-subbands includes the symbols of the feeder link slot mapped onto the respective slot-subband.
Abstract:
Improved mechanisms for wireless cellular access using coverage extension techniques are described. A UE needing to use coverage extension to request access to a prospective serving cell detects cells (other than the prospective serving cell) on its frequency, and then investigates each such cell (for example, by attempting to read its system information block and, if the system information block can be read, determining if the cell supports access using coverage extension. If detected cells do not support coverage extension, the UE does not use coverage extension techniques to request access, but if all detected cells support coverage extension, the UE requests access using coverage extension techniques.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for paging of low complexity UE and/or UE in coverage enhancement mode are provided. One method includes producing a machine type communication (MTC) physical downlink control channel (M-PDCCH) configuration by configuring separate M-PDCCH subsets for paging. One of the subsets may be for low complexity user equipment, and another one of the subsets may be for user equipment operating in coverage enhancement mode.
Abstract:
Channel state information is generated by a communication device. The device can determine that at least one uplink resource element of a radio frame is to be left unoccupied and perform at least one interference measurement on at least one downlink resource element coinciding with the at least one unoccupied uplink resource element, A channel state information report can then be generated based on the measurement, A network node may cause the communication device to leave at feast one uplink resource element of a radio frame unoccupied.
