    Abstract: A transmission apparatus comprises an assignment information generator which, in operation, assigns resources on a resource unit (RU) basis to one or more terminal stations (STAs) and generates assignment information that specifies RUs allocated to the one or more STAs; a transmission signal generator which, in operation, generates a transmission signal that includes a legacy preamble, a non-legacy preamble and a data field, wherein the non-legacy preamble comprises a first signal field and a second signal field that carry a set ID and the assignment information, and wherein the set ID identifies one assignment set comprising the one or more STAs and a plurality of assignment indices, and wherein the assignment information comprises a resource assignment indication for each of a plurality of assignment which are referenced by the plurality of assignment indices; and a transmitter which, in operation, transmits the generated transmission signal.

    Abstract: A transmission apparatus comprises circuitry that generates a physical protocol data unit (PPDU) that contains a legacy signal field and a first signal field wherein both of the legacy signal field and the first signal field comprise an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) symbol, and the first signal field is derived from the legacy signal field, and a transmitter, which, in operation, transmits the PPDU. A format of the PPDU is indicated based on whether a part of bits of the first signal field is inverted or not. The format of the PPDU is a first format or a second format, and data subcarriers of the first signal field in the second format have inverted values of corresponding values in the legacy signal field, and pilots of the first signal field in the second format are not inverted and have same values of corresponding values in the legacy signal field.

    Abstract: A transmission apparatus of the present disclosure comprises a packet generator which, in operation, generates a packet and a transmitter which, in operation, transmits the generated packet.     Abstract: A transmission apparatus of the present disclosure comprises a transmission signal generator which generates a transmission signal that includes a legacy preamble, a non-legacy preamble and a data field, wherein the non-legacy preamble comprises a first signal field and a second signal field, the second signal field comprising a first channel field and a second channel field, each of the first channel field and the second channel field comprising a common field that carries resource assignment information for one or more terminal stations and a user-specific field that carries per-user allocation information for the one or more terminal stations, and wherein a part of the user-specific field of one of the first channel field and the second channel field whichever is longer than the other channel field in length before appending padding bits is relocated to the other channel field; and a transmitter which transmits the generated transmission signal.
