Abstract:
Wireless communications systems and methods related to SDMA operations across multiple network operating entities are provided. A first wireless communication device transmits a communication indicating a reservation for one or more spatial layers in a transmission opportunity (TXOP) of a shared spectrum. The shared spectrum is shared by a first network operating entity and a second network operating entity. The first wireless communication device is associated with the first network operating entity. The first wireless communication device communicates, with a second wireless communication device, data over the one or more spatial layers during the TXOP. The second wireless communication device is associated with the first network operating entity.
Abstract:
Mitigation of inter-base station resynchronization loss in wireless networks including contention-based shared frequency spectrum is discussed. Aspects of such mitigation provide for base stations entering into an idle mode when a transmission opportunity occurs in a radio frame of the next resynchronization occasion. Additional aspects provide for the base station to signal a flexible listen before talk (LBT) frame length to the user equipment (UE), either with or without explicit signaling of the downlink-uplink division. Further aspects provide for the base station to signal a reset indication to UEs that will prompt the UEs to monitor for downlink channel reserving signals prior to the current LBT frame ending by the resynchronization occasion.
Abstract:
Improvements to signaling procedures for use in physical random access channel (PRACH)-based proximity detection are disclosed. Signaling and signaling processes from a serving base station may trigger a more efficient and reliable transmission of PRACH from related user equipment (UE). At the dynamic power nodes (DPNs) monitoring for such PRACH-based proximity, features are disclosed which establish neighbor lists for more efficient management of detection and proximity activation.
Abstract:
Techniques for scheduling data for transmission over multiple links are described herein. For example, techniques described herein include adding extra delay at low-delay link and/or allocating long-delay links with newer and/or higher sequence number packets and low-delay links with older and/or lower sequence number packets. Additional or alternative techniques disclosed herein include disabling multi-link under low throughput, and/or avoiding overflow using history information. Additional or alternative techniques disclosed herein include normalizing data size into time and/or buffer size configuration.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication where a macro eNB or similar device may be configured to adjust an ABS configuration that is used for designating ABS subframes are provided to provide a VoLTE service to a UE. The ABS configuration may be adjusted by imposing one or more restrictions, such as alignment of the DRX OnDuration of a UE with some offset to the serving cell non-ABS subframes, and imposing restrictions on the ABS subframe settings at the macro eNB. The method or apparatus may initiate or terminate a wireless communication feature for a UE, and may adjust an ABS configuration based on the wireless communication feature, such that a maximum limit is set on a number of ABS subframes or a minimum limit is set on a number of non-ABS subframes based on the wireless communication feature.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for switching bearers between radio access technologies (RATs) are described. According to aspects of the present disclosure, the uplink part of a bearer may be served by one RAT, while the downlink part of the bearer is served by another RAT. A part of a bearer may be served by more than one RAT. Methods and apparatus for communicating via bearer with parts served by differing RATs are also described.
Abstract:
A device may support communication without a radio link control (RLC) layer, which may include receiving a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) service data units (SDUs) for multiple radio bearers at a PDCP layer. The multiple radio bearers may have different reliability or delay targets, and a reordering procedure at the PDCP layer may be conducted on the different radio bearers. The reordering procedure may be a same reordering procedure for each of the radio bearers, with one or more parameters that may be adjusted based on one or both of the reliability target or delay target of the radio bearer.
Abstract:
Wireless communications systems and methods related to determining scheduling and transmission timeline for communicating in a shared communication medium are provided. A first wireless communication device communicates, with a second wireless communication device, scheduling information during a first time period of a first transmission opportunity (TXOP) of a first network operating entity in a shared communication medium, the scheduling information indicating an offset time period relative to the first time period. The first wireless communication device communicates, with the second wireless communication device, a communication signal during a second TXOP subsequent to the first TXOP based on the offset time period.

Abstract:
Techniques are described for wireless communication. One method includes identifying a priority parameter associated with data to be transmitted on an uplink carrier; selecting, based at least in part on the identified priority parameter, between a first type of message for requesting uplink resources in a shared radio frequency spectrum band or a dedicated radio frequency spectrum band, or a second type of message for requesting uplink resources in the dedicated radio frequency spectrum band; and transmitting the selected type of message.
