A seismic node for collecting seismic data, the seismic node including a base configured to define a chamber having an open face; a main electronic board having a processor, the main electronic board being placed inside the chamber; a battery pack configured to supply electrical power to the main electronic board and placed inside the chamber; and a digital cover that attaches to the open side of the base to seal the chamber, and a sensor device located inside the chamber and attached to a wall of the base to form a digital field unit, or an analog cover that attaches to the open side of the base to seal the chamber, and an analog sensor electrically attached to the analog cover to form an analog field unit.
Abstract:
A communication method is provided in a communication network, including a plurality of devices forming an ordered communication segment. At least one intermediate device of this segment is connected to at most two other devices called a previous device and a next device. The intermediate device receives data from the previous device and emits at least these data to the next device to propagate the data on the segment. A concentrator initializes transmission of a first frame of data through the segment to a terminal device ending the segment, which sends back a symbol initiating transmission of a second frame of data to the first concentrator through the segment. The method includes receiving a first symbol from the previous device, which triggers emitting a WAIT symbol to the previous device and emitting at least first symbol to the next device.

A multi-function acquisition device comprising a connector having two connection terminals, and an electronic circuit that comprises an acquisition circuit configured for enabling the digital conversion of analogic signals from a sensor, and the memorization of the digitized signals in a memory; a harvesting circuit configured for enabling the transmission of data stored in the memory to a harvesting device; a charging circuit configured for enabling the charging of a battery with the power provided by a powering device. A control unit controls the activation of the acquisition circuit, the activation of the harvesting circuit, and the activation of the charging circuit.
Abstract:
A method for waking up a distant device from a local device, through a transmission medium and distant and local media converters. Initially, at least one of the physical and link layer units of the distant device is off, and its processing layer unit is off or in Low Power mode. The transceiver of the distant media converter is on. When receiving an initial wake-up signal from the local device, the transceiver of the distant media converter generates an electrical wake-up signal converted from the initial wake-up signal. The transceiver of the distant media converter sends the electrical wake-up signal, or derived wake-up information, to the processing layer unit of the distant device, through a transmission line independent of the physical and link layer units of the distant device. When receiving the electrical wake-up signal or the wake-up information, the processing layer unit of the distant device turns on.
