    Abstract: An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes: a display panel including a display area in which a plurality of pixels are arranged and configured to display an image in a first direction, and a first camera module including camera circuitry and a second camera module including camera circuitry arranged under the display panel, wherein the display area includes a first display area overlapping the first camera module in the first direction and a second display area overlapping the second camera module in the first direction, wherein pixels per inch (PPI) of the first display area is less than the PPI of the second display area.

    Abstract: An electronic device and a method capable of reducing an afterimage of a display are provided. The method includes the operations of where a display panel is divided into a first area and a second area, in response to a specified event, controlling a display panel in a partial display state in which a first area is deactivated and a second area is activated, while the display panel is in the partial display state, dividing each frame into a first sub-period and a second sub-period, and controlling first pixels corresponding to the first area, controlling the first pixels to receive a data voltage corresponding to an inactive state, by supplying the first gate signal to the first pixels in the first sub-period, and controlling the first pixels to receive a bias voltage, by supplying the first gate signal to the first pixels in the second sub-period.

    Abstract: According to various embodiments of the disclosure, an electronic device may include: a camera sensor, a display panel including a first area corresponding to an area in which the camera sensor is disposed, and a second area different from the first area, and a display driver IC (DDI) configured to drive the display panel, wherein the DDI is configured to: obtain at least one of a luminance value or a gradation value of a first image output to the first area, determine whether to control the first image output to the first area, based on at least one of the luminance value or the gradation value of the first image, and control the first image output to the first area in response to the determination, wherein the first image is controlled such that, based on at least one of the luminance value of the first image or the gradation value of the first image, a plurality of pixels disposed in the first area are powered off, or a third image different from the first image is output to the first area.

    Abstract: A foldable electronic device includes: a display panel including a pixel array, a first region, a second region, and a folding region interposed between the first region and the second region, a plurality of gate lines connected with respective gates of a plurality of transistors included in the pixel array and extending in a first direction, a plurality of data lines connected with respective sources of the plurality of transistors and extending in a second direction crossing the first direction, a gate driving circuit connected with the plurality of gate lines, a display driver integrated circuit (DDI) connected with the plurality of data lines, a first detection line connecting a first gate line of the plurality of gate lines corresponding to the folding region with the DDI, a processor, and a memory operatively connected with the processor. The foldable electronic device is configured to be folded as the folding region is bent such that the first region corresponds to the second region, the DDI is configured to detect a first gate driving voltage applied to the first gate line by the gate driving circuit using the first detection line, and to transmit, to the processor, defect information indicating that the folding region is defective based on the first gate driving voltage being less than a reference voltage, and the memory stores instructions which when executed, cause the processor to: receive the defect information from the DDI, identify at least a portion of the folding region and/or the second region, based on the defect information as a defective region, and control the display panel to display an execution screen on the first region based on the identified defective region.
