Abstract: Various examples of the present invention relate to an apparatus and a method for controlling a connection and an operation of an antenna in an electronic device. Here, the electronic device comprises: a plurality of antenna units arranged in a first region thereof; at least one antenna unit arranged in a second region thereof; a communication circuit, which is connected to the plurality of antenna units arranged in the first region and to at least one antenna unit arranged in the second region; a first switch arranged in an electric path, which connects the plurality of antenna units with the communication circuit; and a second switch arranged in an electric path, which connects the at least one antenna unit with the communication circuit, wherein the first switch and the second switch can be configured to connect the plurality of antenna units with the communication circuit and the at least one antenna unit with the communication circuit, by using a first electric path and a second electric path for connecting the first switch and the second switch. Other examples are possible.

Abstract: An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a first antenna, a second antenna, a transmission/reception path unit, a first reception path unit, a second reception path unit including a low noise amplifier (LNA), a signal path selection unit configured to connect each of the first antenna and the second antenna to the transmission/reception path unit, the first reception path unit, or the second reception path unit, and a radio frequency integrated circuit (RFIC) module or a processor including the RFIC module configured to control the signal path selection unit to have a first state in which the first antenna is connected to the transmission/reception path unit and the second antenna is connected to the second reception path unit or control the signal path selection unit to have a second state in which the first antenna is connected to the first reception path unit and the second antenna is connected to the transmission/reception path unit.

Abstract: Various embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a device and a method for controlling a plurality of antennas in an electronic device. The electronic device may include: a plurality of antennas; a communication circuit configured to be connected with the plurality of antennas; and at least one processor, wherein the processor may be configured to: transmit a signal to an external device through one antenna among the plurality of antennas; detect a difference in reception performance between the antenna and each of at least one remaining antenna in response to occurrence of an event; and set one among the plurality of antennas as a transmitting antenna for the electronic device based on a threshold corresponding to an antenna characteristic of each of the at least one remaining antenna and the difference in reception performance. Other embodiments are possible.

Abstract: An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes at least one antenna on a designated band, at least one filtering unit for filtering signals received from the at least one antenna into a plurality of bands of the designated band, at least one switching unit for outputting the signals filtered by the at least one filtering unit to a first communication unit using a first communication function and a second communication unit using a second communication function, and a processor electrically connected with the at least one switching unit, the first communication unit, and the second communication unit for controlling the at least one switching unit so that, when a signal of a first band in the designated band is output to the first communication unit, a signal of a second band in the designated band is output to the second communication unit.
