Abstract: Provided is a method of simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM), the method including obtaining a structure of a current image frame, obtaining a structure re-identification constraint based on the structure of the current image frame, and obtaining a SLAM result based on the structure re-identification constraint. By introducing the structure re-identification constraint in a bundle adjustment process to obtain the SLAM result, error accumulation may be more easily controlled, and accuracy and robustness in obtaining the SLAM result may be improved.

The method includes receiving original color data and original depth data of a plurality of layers of an original holographic image, selecting reference layers from among the plurality of layers, mapping adjustment color data of a non-selected layer, which is determined based on using the original depth data of the non-selected layer and the reference layers, to each of the reference layers, and generating a computer generated hologram image by using the original color data of the reference layers and the adjustment color data that has been mapped to the reference layers.

Abstract: An augmented reality (AR) device and a method of predicting a pose in the AR device is provided. In the augmented reality (AR) device inertial measurement unit (IMU) values corresponding to the movement of the AR device are obtained at an IMU rate, intermediate 6-degrees of freedom (6D) poses of the AR device are estimated based on the IMU values and images around the AR device via a visual-inertial simultaneous localization and mapping (VI-SLAM) module, and a pose prediction model for predicting relative 6D poses of the AR device is generated by performing learning by using a deep neural network.
