摘要: A sled for retaining an electronic device positioned in a housing includes an elongated member, a plurality of support elements, a clasping mechanism, and a locking element. The elongated member includes a proximal portion and a distal portion. The elongated member circumscribed by a perimeter portion. The plurality of support elements are positioned along the perimeter portion of the elongated member and are configured to support and/or retain the housing. The clasping mechanism is rotatable from a first position configured to retain the electronic device to a second position to release the electronic device. The locking element is adapted to engage the locking portion to selectively lock the clasping mechanism in the first position or the second position.

摘要: An apparatus and system for housing a device include a housing that is configured such that a device may be fitted within the housing and thereby be protected, such as from shocks and/or liquid. The housing may include top and bottom members that may be removably coupled together so as to form the housing. Each top and bottom member optionally includes front and back surfaces surrounded by a perimeter. The perimeter may be defined by proximal and distal ends as well as opposing sides. The top and bottom members may include respective clasping mechanisms that extend along the perimeter of the top and bottom members. The clasping mechanisms are configured for coupling the top and bottom members with one another thereby sealing the housing, for instance, in a shock-proof and/or water tight seal.

摘要: A loudspeaker includes a rigid enclosure, and a sound projecting region formed in a wall of the rigid enclosure. The sound projecting region includes one or more active driver speakers rigidly connected with the rigid enclosure, the active driver speakers to project sound outward from the sound projecting region and to reflect sound waves within the rigid enclosure. The loudspeaker includes flexible inner surrounds that frame each active driver speaker, and a passive radiator at least partially around the active driver speakers and connected between the inner surround and a flexible outer surround. The outer surround is connected with the rigid enclosure. Electronic circuitry of the loudspeaker includes an audio data receiver to receive audio data, one or more processors to process the audio data, and an amplifier to amplify the processed audio data for playback by the one or more active driver speakers.

摘要: A protective case for an electronic device includes a top member, a bottom member, and two gaskets. The bottom member has a back wall and side walls that define a cavity and include a tapered channel. The top member has clasping members that extend from the top member to engage the tapered channel to removably attach the top member to the bottom member. The top member has an opening that frames the display of the installed electronic device. A first gasket is proximate the perimeter of the top member to form a first seal between the top member and the bottom member when the top member is attached to the bottom member. A second gasket is proximate the opening of the top member to form a second seal between the top member and the front surface of the electronic device when the top member is attached to the bottom member.

In various instances, the housing is a separate unit from the electronic device, within which the electronic device is fitted. In certain instances, the housing for the electronic device is adapted for protecting the device from one or more of shock, liquid, dust, snow, and the like. The electronic device may be any suitable electronic device, such as a computer, mobile computer, notebook computer, tablet computer, telephone, personal digital assistant, or the like.

The activity monitoring apparatus includes a retention feature configured to removably secure the monitoring apparatus to a participant performing a physical activity. The activity monitoring apparatus further includes a clasping mechanism configured to receive a mobile electronic device and removably secure the mobile electronic device to the monitoring apparatus. The activity monitoring apparatus further includes a physiological data collector and electronic circuitry. The physiological data collector is configured to collect physiological data associated with the participant performing the physical activity. The electronic circuitry is configured to receive the physiological data associated with the participant from the physiological data collector, process the physiological data, and wirelessly transmit the processed physiological data to the mobile electronic device for display on the mobile electronic device.

The encasement includes a top member having a frame, a raised ridge extending down from an inner surface of the frame, and a seal member attached to the inside edge of the frame. The encasement further includes a bottom member having an inner surface and an outer surface, an outer perimeter extending from the inner surface and defining an outer wall, and a second seal member in contact with the outer wall to mate with the protrusion of the top member when the top member is mated with the bottom member.
