摘要:
A method of treating a condition associated with heparanase expression by administering a heparanase activity neutralizing monoclonal anti-heparanase antibody, the monoclonal anti-heparanase antibody being for neutralizing heparanase catalytic activity.
摘要:
A monoclonal antibody elicited by a heparanase protein or an immunogenical portion thereof, the monoclonal antibody specifically inhibits heparanase activity.
摘要:
Specific anti-heparanase antibodies which bind specifically to heparanase having sequence homology to human heparanase, which can be used to treat and diagnose conditions associated with heparanase catalytic activity, for purification of heparanase, and for drug development in heparanase associated conditions are disclosed.
摘要:
Bacterial, yeast and animal cells and methods for overexpressing recombinant heparanase in cellular systems, methods of purifying recombinant heparanase therefrom and modified heparanase species which serve as precursors for generating highly active heparanase by proteolysis.
摘要:
Qualitative and quantitative methods of testing an agent for its potential at inhibiting glycosidase catalytic activity, the methods including the steps of interacting a glycosidase enzyme with a glycosidase substrate in a presence of the agent and qualitatively or quantitatively evaluating an effect of the agent on the catalytic activity of the glycosidase enzyme toward the glycosidase substrate. Preferably the glycosidase enzyme is a heparanase enzyme and the glycosidase substrate is, respectively, a heparanase substrate.

摘要:
A preparation containing an enzymatically inactive form of heparanase, said enzymatically inactive form of heparanase being cleavable into an enzimatically active form of heparanase.

A method of testing an agent for its potential at modulating induction of a molecular weight change of a first polyion is disclosed. The method is effected by (a) subjecting the first polyion to conditions under-which the first polyion undergoing the molecular weight change in a presence, in an absence or under several different concentrations of the agent; (b) interacting the first polyion with a second polyion having an opposite charge, the second polyion being fluorescently labeled; (c) providing reaction conditions so as to allow molecular weight discriminative interaction between the first polyion and the second polyion; and (d) employing a fluorescence polarization assay for determining a modulating effect of the agent on the induction of the molecular weight change of the first polyion.
