Abstract: A computer system may include a processor configured to search storage locations for candidate Application Programming Interface (API) files that are to be published on an Internet of Things (IoT) platform configured to interact with IoT devices for different device manufacturers. The processor may generate a list of candidate APIs based on searching the storage locations; generate a list of published platform APIs published on the IoT platform; compare the list of candidate APIs with the list of published platform APIs; generate an API create list based on the comparing; generate an API update list based on the comparing; create one or more candidate APIs from the generated API create list on a testing system; and update one or more candidate APIs from the generated API update list on the testing system.

Abstract: A method includes receiving readings from a plurality of Internet of Things (IoT) devices. The method identifies rules associated with the readings from the IoT devices and determines a three dimensional (3D) dataset based on the plurality of IoT devices, the readings and rules associated with the readings from the plurality of IoT devices. The method includes determining policies to be applied to routing of the readings based on rules for dividing the readings into subsets of the 3D dataset, and routing processing for subsets of the readings to be processed in parallel by processing units based on the policies. The method further includes processing the readings to generate a list of actions, and resolving the conflicts in the list of actions based on a multi-phase queue. The method also includes executing the actions.

Abstract: A network device logs transmission control protocol (TCP) flow data for connections between registered devices that are registered for use of secure Internet of Things (IoT) application programming interfaces (APIs). The logging generates logged flow data. The network device receives, from a first registered device, a call validation request for an IoT API call directed to the first registered device from a second registered device. The call validation request includes packet information of the IoT API call. The network device compares the packet information with the logged TCP flow data. When the comparing indicates a match of the packet information and the logged TCP flow data, the network device sends a response to the first registered device to accept the IoT API call. Otherwise, the network device sends a response to the first registered device to reject the IoT API call.

Abstract: A network device enables browsing of a plurality of pre-defined VMs associated with IoT devices. The network device receives, from a user device, selection of a first pre-defined VM from the plurality of pre-defined VMs, wherein the first pre-defined VM includes at least one first device state and at least one first sensor type, and receives, from the user device, instructions to modify the first pre-defined VM, by adding an additional device state or an additional sensor type to the first pre-defined VM or by removing the at least one first device state or the at least one first sensor type from the first pre-defined VM, to create a first customized VM associated with a first physical IoT device. The network device stores the first customized VM in a database, and uses the first customized VM for accessing or controlling the first physical IoT device.

Abstract: A network device receives, from a node in an Internet-of-Things (IoT) network, an access request for a user authenticated via the node and identifies the access request as from either of a trusted node or an untrusted node in the IoT network. When the access request is from an untrusted node, the network device identifies a hash key for the access request, wherein the hash key is derived from an access list for the IoT network; broadcasts the hash key to other trusted nodes in the IoT network; and validates the access request based on a solution consensus from the other trusted nodes. When the access request is from a trusted node, the network device confirms mutual trust with the trusted node via an encrypted key exchange, and validates the access request based on the mutual trust with the trusted node.

Abstract: A network device receives, from a node in an Internet-of-Things (IoT) network, an access request for a user authenticated via the node and identifies the access request as from either of a trusted node or an untrusted node in the IoT network.
