Abstract:
A sound-absorbing device for a wall covering, ceiling covering, or floor covering has a support that comprises at least one sound-absorbing layer made of polymer foam. The layer constitutes a plurality of protrusions. The protrusions are arranged with a distribution such that a straight line that is continuous over the surface of the support is not projectable through the interstices.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a method for connecting the belt ends (9, 10) of transport belts (1) using a closure aid (13) that comprises a plurality of closure aid elements (14, 15) that are fastened at a distance from one another in the region of the two belt ends (9, 10) in such a way that they link the belt ends (9, 10), the closure aid elements (14, 15) having tensioning elements (23) that pull the belt ends (9, 10) toward one another, and the belt ends (9, 10) then being connected to one another by means of coupling elements (11, 12) and the closure aid (13) then being removed from the transport belt (1). Lashing straps (14, 15) having a lashing mechanism (23) are used as closure aid elements, actuation thereof reducing the distance between the belt ends (9, 10).The invention further concerns a transport belt (1) having coupling elements (11, 12) mounted on its front belt ends (9, 10), and a closure aid (13) for temporary connection of the front belt ends (9, 10) of the transport belt (1).

Abstract:
A paper machine cover with a textile web structure, e.g., a woven, knitted, or non-woven fabric, etc., is provided. The paper machine cover has flattened threads, whereby respectively the longer axis of the cross-section of these threads extends parallel to the plane of the paper machine cover. The flattened threads consist of monofilaments with an annular cross-section and/or multifilaments formed of individual filaments with an annular cross-section. The monofilaments or individual filaments of the multifilaments have an annular cross-section. These filaments are deformed plastically into the flattened cross-section at least in those areas where they extend parallel to the plane of the paper machine cover.
Abstract:
A pressing cushion (1) for use in laminating presses has a textile support (2) with threads (3, 4, 5), at least some of which constitute thermally conductive threads (3, 4, 5) that bring about, either directly or by contact with other thermally conductive threads (3, 4, 5), a thermal transfer from one outer side to the other outer side of the pressing cushion (1). The support (2) includes a cushion layer (7) made of a flexible rubber material, wherein the thickness of the cushion layer (7) is less than that of the support (2). The cushion layer (7) is embedded into the support (2) in such a way that thermally conductive threads (4, 5) protrude beyond the cushion layer (7) on both outer sides of the pressing cushion (1).
Abstract:
A dryer screen has a paper side and a machine side. A plurality of machine direction threads extend in the direction of movement of the screen. The machine direction threads are arrayed in first and second groups. The threads of the groups are bound to the screen through different binding pattern repeats. A plurality of cross threads extend generally transverse to the machine direction threads. The threads of the first group are arrayed in first and second subgroups offset with respect to the direction of movement of the screen. Each subgroup comprises at least two abutting contiguous machine direction threads having a binding pattern repeat floating on the paper side over a predetermined plurality of cross threads.
Abstract:
A wire-link, such as a filament-link belt for process purposes, in particular one serving as a clothing for paper-making machines, with a plurality of juxtaposed, mutually engaging wire-coils comprising end-arcs enclosing plug-in wires and turn-legs connecting the arcs, is characterized in that the turn-legs of at least a part of the wire-coils alternate each time between two end-arcs at least once between the flat sides of the wire-link belt.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for producing an endless tubular felt includes superposing layers of tubular felt one upon the other and binding of the superposed layers together. A marking line is applied to the top surface of the superposed layers in continuous manner as the felt is trained about the driven rolls. The rolls include needle segments which move the felt axially of the roll. A scanner scans the position of the marking line shortly before the completion of one revolution. A controller compares the position of the marking line with a reference and causes the needle means to be adjusted to that the marking line corresponds with the reference.
