Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-storage media, for operating sources of electricity in an electrical grid having a forecasting error rate are described. In some implementations, a method includes selecting a forecast horizon based on the forecasting error rate; performing an optimization process for dispatch planning of the electrical grid for the selected forecast horizon; automatically operating one or more power sources of the electrical grid in accordance with the dispatch planning for a first time increment; and performing an optimization process for dispatch planning for subsequent time increments within the selected horizon after the first time increment has elapsed.

One of the systems may include a light emitting diode display that includes an array of pixels, each pixel including, for each color of multiple colors, a directional light emitter and a wide-angle light emitter, a first combination of all the directional light emitters configured to generate a first display image viewable within a first viewing angle, and a second combination of all the wide-angle light emitters configured to generate a second display image concurrently with the generation of the first display image that is viewable within a second viewing angle. The first display image is a different image than the second display image and the first viewing angle is a narrower viewing angle than, and included within, the second viewing angle.

Abstract: A technique and apparatus for monitoring a plant canopy over a field is disclosed. The technique includes receiving first sensor values from a plurality of plant canopy sensors disposed in or on a ground of the field under the plant canopy. The first sensor values are indicative of near-infrared (IR) light reflected or reradiated from the plant canopy. Second sensor values are also received from the plant canopy sensors. The second sensor values are indicative of red light that is incident through the plant canopy. A map of the plant canopy may be generated based upon the first and second sensor values.

Abstract: Implementations are described herein for automatically identifying, recommending, and/or automatically effecting changes to a source code base based on updates previously made to other similar code bases. Intuitively, multiple prior “migrations,” or mass updates, of complex software system code bases may be analyzed to identify changes that were made. More particularly, a particular portion or “snippet” of source code—which may include a whole source code file, a source code function, a portion of source code, or any other semantically-meaningful code unit—may undergo a sequence of edits over time. Techniques described herein leverage this sequence of edits to predict a next edit of the source code snippet. These techniques have a wide variety of applications, including but not limited to automatically updating of source code, source code completion, recommending changes to source code, etc.
