摘要： Using a treating solution which is easy to dispose after use, the surface of a plastic material is treated so that the treated surface has good adhesion to a coating film to be formed thereon. An aqueous dispersion containing an abrasive which is harder than a plastic material to be surface-treated, is pressurized to about 1.0-200 kg/cm.sup.2 and then is injected onto the surface of said plastic material through an injection nozzle. An airless spray gun having said injection nozzle is supported by a polyaxis type or articulated type robot. Thus, the surface of a plastic material is ground and converted into a rough surface and then coatings are applied thereon.

摘要： In a motion picture reproducing apparatus, or a motion picture recording and reproducing apparatus, an index picture storage means stores a plurality of index pictures extracted from a series of motion pictures in time sequence at a assigned extraction timing in respective storage positions in a motion picture storage medium by associating each index picture with a different storage position. An index picture display means arranges and displays the index pictures read from the index picture storage means on the display screen in time sequence. Selective means select a desired target reproduction picture to be reproduced, and reproduction position control means allow movement to a recording position corresponding to the selected target reproduction position to initiate a reproducing operation, thus allowing search conditions to be visually and intuitively determined when searching stored data on the motion picture storage medium, and providing substantially improved user-friendliness.

摘要： A technique for transmitting and receiving an electronic program guide which identifies programs that are to be transmitted. Electronic program guide (EPG) data includes image data representing images of reduced, less than normal, size to identify respective programs which are to be transmitted. The EPG data is combined with program data, the latter representing different programs transmitted on different broadcast channels, and the combined data is transmitted. On reception, the EPG data is separated from the received program data and the images of reduced, less than normal size represented by the EPG data are displayed in superposition over the received program.

摘要： In a conventional gear coupling, since an end cover is attached to a sleeve, lubricant has sometimes leaked out through the joint between the sleeve and the end cover. A gear coupling includes: a pinion having external teeth, and fixed to a first rotary shaft; a sleeve having an opening at each end thereof through at least either one of which the pinion is introduced into the inside thereof and internal teeth meshed with the external teeth of the pinion, and fixed to a second rotary shaft; a first end member having a rotary shaft space through which the first rotary shaft passes, for closing over the sleeve opening through which the first rotary shaft passes; and a second end member for closing off the other opening, wherein the sleeve, the first end member, and the second end member are configured to form a space for retaining the lubricant, the gear coupling has the sleeve and the first end member, or the sleeve and the second end member that are integrally formed.
