Abstract:
The bearing device 4 is press-fitted between the inside surface of the axis insertion hole of a steering column and the outside surface of a steering axis inserted into the axis insertion hole so as to support the steering axis. The bearing device 4 comprises a roller bearing arranged on the outside surface of the steering axis and a spacer ring arranged between the outside surface of the roller bearing and the inside surface of the axis insertion hole. The spacer ring comprises a wall thickness holding unit for holding the thickness of its wall in the radius direction and a thickness reduction unit which is provided on at least one site of the inside and outside surfaces and its end in the vicinity of the wall thickness holding unit and which reduces the thickness of the wall to facilitate deformation of the spacer ring.
Abstract:
A split bearing which is divided in two is formed of a rolling bearing, and its outer ring is provided with ribs at both side parts thereof in an axial direction. An integrating mechanism is provided at a position within a range in the axial direction where this rib is formed. The integrating mechanism include a concave groove in an annular shape which is formed on a side surface of the rib, and a C-shaped ring is engaged with this concave groove, whereby upper and lower split outer ring pieces of the divided outer ring are integrated into a preassembled state.
Abstract:
A step portion is formed at an outer peripheral surface of an axially-central portion of an outer ring, and is smaller in diameter than outer peripheral surfaces of axial opposite end portions of the outer ring. The step portion is continuously formed over an entire periphery of the outer ring, and has a predetermined width over the entire periphery. The outer peripheral surface and inner peripheral surface of the outer ring are pressed radially inwardly, and therefore are bulged radially inwardly into a step-like shape to form the step portion having an axis coinciding with a axis of the outer ring. A pedestal of a cylinder block and a cap member retain the outer peripheral surface of the step portion, thereby positioning the outer ring in the axial direction and also preventing a movement of the outer ring in the axial direction.

A cam follower includes a roller on which a cam rolls. A material ratio Rmr (C) (C: a section level %) of an radially outer surface of the roller is set to relations of 0 %
Abstract:
A rocker arm bearing comprising a support shaft in which end faces of shaft end portions of the support shaft are crimped to inner circumferential edges of shaft end inserting holes in opposed side walls and an outer ring which is rotatably supported on a raceway portion at a shaft intermediate portion of the support shaft via a plurality of rollers or directly, wherein an external surface of the raceway portion at the shaft intermediate portion of the support shaft is surface hardened by virtue of quenching, and as a wear-resistant hard coating, a DLC coating is formed on at least the external surface of the raceway portion which is surface hardened.
Abstract:
A bearing apparatus for including a camshaft, a plurality of cam blocks disposed in an axial direction on the camshaft, a housing member including an arc concave portion, a cap member which is fixed to the housing and includes an arc concave portion, a roller bearing interposed between the arc concave portion of the housing member and the arc concave portion of the cap member so as to rotatably support the camshaft, and annular first and second control rings which are separately provided from the camshaft, and are press-fitted and fixed to an outer surface of the camshaft at opposite side portions of the roller bearing in the axial direction. Surfaces of the first and second rings that face each other are formed as slide surfaces, and the slide surfaces come in contact with opposite side surfaces of at least one of the housing member and the cap member to receive an axial load.
Abstract:
A cage includes a radially inward-side annular plate, a radially outward-side annular wall, a plurality of pillar portions, and pockets formed in the pillar portions. Rollers are rotatably retained in the pockets. An inner peripheral surface of the radially outward-side annular wall is formed so as to be oblique toward a radially outward direction. A radially outward-side end surface of each of the rollers has a spherical surface shape.
Abstract:
A cam follower includes a roller on which a cam rolls. A material ratio Rmr (C) (C: a section level %) of an radially outer surface of the roller is set to relations of 0%
Abstract:
The present invention provides a split outer race for use in a rolling bearing. The split outer race is formed by bending a strip-shaped metallic plate into a substantially semicircle shape. At least one end of the split outer race in a circumferential direction has a concave-and-convex shape including a first slope portion which is inclined to an axial direction and a second slope portion inclined in a direction opposite to a direction in which the first slope portion is inclined. An edge portion formed on an inner surface of the one end in the circumferential direction has a round shape.
Abstract:
A rocker arm includes: a body that is made of sheet metal and includes a pair of side walls; and a pair of axial holes that are respectively formed through the pair of side walls and have a first diameter and through which an axis is inserted. The pair of axial holes include thickened portions formed partially or overall of circumference of the pair of axial holes, and the thickened portion is formed by expanding a hole that has a second diameter smaller than the first diameter and is formed in a pre-arranged range for forming the axial hole in a blank material so as to causing plastic flow in a metallic material of the circumference of the hole
