摘要: There is provided a variable valve timing system, including: a camshaft rotatably supported by a support wall of an engine; a variable valve device configured to advance or retard the camshaft by a hydraulic pressure; and an oil control valve. A thrust stopper is formed on an outer peripheral surface of the camshaft. A bearing surface of the support wall is formed with an advance groove through which oil for advancing the camshaft is to pass, a retard groove through which oil for retarding the camshaft is to pass, and an accommodation groove configured to accommodate the thrust stopper. At the bearing surface, the retard groove is positioned on one wall surface side of the support wall, the accommodation groove is positioned on the other wall surface side of the support wall, and the advance groove is positioned between the retard groove and the accommodation groove.

摘要: A variable valve train module for an engine includes a camshaft including at least one cam and a valve control block. The valve control block is positioned on a cylinder head of the engine. The valve control block includes a first sidewall and a second sidewall and houses valve train components configured to control the timing of at least one valve in the cylinder heads between the first and second sidewalls. The valve control block includes a support block forming the first sidewall and a plurality of integral bearing supports extending inwardly from the first sidewall and supporting the camshaft. The valve control block also includes a reinforcing block forming the second sidewall and which is attached to the support block.

摘要: A cylinder head of an internal combustion engine includes a camshaft configured to actuate gas-exchange valves of the internal combustion engine. The camshaft has two cam segments that are joined to each other in such a manner that the cam segments cannot rotate with respect to each other, but are moveable axially relative to each other. End faces of the bearing sites of the cam segments each have splines running radially along respective outer circumferential surfaces of the cam segments. A camshaft bearing has an inner bearing ring with splines being formed on an inner surface. The splines of the inner bearing ring completely penetrate the axial course of the inner surface and the splines of the adjacent cam segments intermesh with the splines of the inner bearing ring on both sides thereof such that the inner bearing ring forms a non-rotating connection between the camshaft segments.

摘要: A valve opening/closing timing control device includes a driving rotary body rotatable in synchronism with a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine, a driven rotary body rotatable in unison with a cam shaft of the internal combustion engine and rotatable also relative to the driving rotary body within this driving rotary body, a fluid pressure chamber formed by the driving rotary body and the driven rotary body, and a partitioning portion that partitions the fluid pressure chamber into an advance chamber and a retard chamber. The driving rotary body includes an aluminum housing having a pulley that receives a drive force of the crankshaft via a drive belt and a plate attached to at least one face of the housing. Between the housing and the plate, there is provided a gap allowing outflow of fluid.

摘要: Provided is a V engine which uses common cylinder heads, and permits favorable arrangement of oil passages so as to accommodate various oil regulating features that are required to operate valve property varying mechanisms. Each end of each cylinder head is formed with a plurality of distribution oil passages opening out at an upper surface of the cylinder head for supplying oil pressure from a main gallery to a valve actuating mechanism. A pair of oil passage connecting members internally defining mutually different connecting oil passages are attached to the upper surfaces of the corresponding end parts of the respective cylinder heads.
