    摘要: A process for obtaining aromatic sulfide polymer which has a markedly high molecular weight and can be readily formed into films, fibers, and other structures. The process comprises heating, in an aprotic solvent to a temperature of 100.degree. to 250.degree. C., (i) a dihaloaromatic compound and (ii) substantially anhydrous fine powder of the sulfide of an alkali or alkaline earth metal in the presence of (iii) substantially anhydrous fine powder of the carbonate of an alkali or alkaline earth metal, or of a mixture thereof with a hygroscopic inorganic salt and (iv) a strictly controlled very small amount of water dissolved in or solvated with the solvent.

    摘要: Disclosed herein are (1) a composition which is prepared by combining 0.2 to 90 parts by weight of a cross-linked polyarylene thioether having a melt viscosity of 5.times.10.sup.5 to 1.times.10.sup.9 poise, which becomes gel under melting, with 100 parts by weight of a resin consisting of polyarylene thioether, which has a repeating unit of ##STR1## as the main constituent, having a melt viscosity of 10 to 5.times.10.sup.4 poise and (2) a composition of polyarylene thioether for molding, which is prepared by combining not more than 400 parts by weight of a fibrous filler and/or an inorganic filler with 100 parts by weight of the above-mentioned composition (1), is excellent in an antiflash property, is high in a mechanical strength and a thermal stability and is easily processed on melt molding and can easily recycle its molded scraps.

    摘要: The improvement in a process for producing an aromatic sulfide polymer from (A) hydrous sulfide of an alkali or alkaline earth metal and (B) a dihalo-aromatic compound is disclosed. The improvement is concerned with how the hydrous sulfide is dehydrated and comprises dehydrating the hydrous sulfide by the action thereon of (C) an alkaline earth metal oxide before substantial formation of the aromatic sulfide polymer.

    摘要: A controlled release pharmaceutical composition comprises (a) at least one pharmaceutically active substance having a water contact angle (θ) such that cos θ is between +0.9848 and −0.9848, (b) a first intelligent polymer component; and (c) a second intelligent polymer component having opposite wettability characteristics to the first intelligent polymer component, the first and second polymer components being present in a ratio in the range of about 1:100 to about 100:1 by weight. The polymer components are effective for controlled release of the pharmaceutically active substance from the composition.

    摘要: The invention provides an injection-molded product of polyglycolic acid obtainable by molding a thermoplastic resin material at an injection temperature ranging from the melting point, Tm of the polymer to 255° C., wherein the thermoplastic resin material comprises polyglycolic acid having a repeating unit represented by the following formula (1): and the following physical properties: (a) the melt viscosity, &eegr;* [as measured at a temperature of (the melting point, Tm of the polymer+20° C.) and a shear rate of 1,000/sec] being 30-10,000 Pa·s; (b) the melting point, Tm being at least 150° C.; (c) the melt enthalpy, &Dgr;Hm being at least 20 J/g; and (d) the density being at least 1.50 g/cm3 as measured in an unoriented, crystallized form, and a production process thereof.
