Abstract:
An applicator (12) has a pistol grip handle (14), a trigger (16), an operative portion (22), a hollow tube (18), an articulating joint (20) disposed in the hollow tube (18) between trigger/lever (16) and operative portion (22), which has a set of separately held jaws (24 and 26) with container (28) and lid (30) disposed thereon. Jaws (24 and 26) movement is controlled by the trigger/lever (16) which is attached to the lower jaw (26) via a cable/cord (40) enclosed within the hollow tube (18). Spring straps (34) control attach the jaws (24 and 26) to the hollow shaft/tube (18).
Abstract:
A coating applicator that applies a coating or liquid to a variety of different substrates having different contoured surfaces is disclosed. A coating applicator of the present disclosure is able to reach, contact, and cover the entirety of a contoured substrate. In this manner, the coating applicator is able to transfer a coating to the entirety of the contoured substrate. Additionally, fluid application systems of the present disclosure include systems for advantageously providing a fluid to a fluid applicator.
Abstract:
A spray roller system for application of architectural paints coating, includes an extension tube, a spray head mounted on a distal end of the extension tube, and the in-line valve with a trigger mounted on a proximal end of the extension tube, and a roller handle removable mounted on the extension tube adjacent the spray head. The spray roller system can spray and back roll a coating on a down stroke and roll on each up stroke. When the roller handle is removed from the extension tube, it can be used to hand roll sensitive wall areas. With the roller handle removed, extension tube, spray head, and in-line valve can be used as a spray extension to apply coatings in hard to reach areas.

Abstract:
A fluid transfer assembly comprises a housing for accommodating a fluid. A bellows member disposed in the housing defines an opening therethrough adapted to be in fluid communication with an applicator assembly. The bellows member is adapted to operatively engage the applicator assembly for extension in a first direction and contraction in a second direction. The bellows member seals against the inner surface of the housing during extension and contraction for defining a variable volume chamber with the housing. Expansion of the bellows member in the first direction reduces the chamber volume for generating positive pressure in the housing and forcing fluid through a valve to the applicator assembly. Contraction of the bellows member in the second direction increases the chamber volume for generating negative pressure within the housing for drawing fluid into the chamber.
Abstract:
The invention is a roller liquid compound applicator configured to attach to the threaded neck of a liquid supply container for the purpose of applying a coating of a liquid compound to a target surface, and includes: a U-shaped roller support frame including a substantially cylindrical dispenser coupling cap and a drip guard attached to the dispenser coupling cap, the dispenser coupling cap having a threaded cavity configured for mating with the threaded neck of the liquid supply container; and a liquid compound roller sleeve secured to the roller support frame.
Abstract:
A device for applying a mixed component includes first and second receptacles configured to receive first and second components, respectively, a static mixing nozzle, an applicator and an operating member. The static mixing nozzle includes a plurality of mixing elements, has a first end and a second end, and is in fluid communication with the first and second receptacles. The applicator includes a spray tip and an input for pressurized fluid, the spray tip is disposed downstream of the second end of the static mixing nozzle and is in fluid communication with the static mixing nozzle. The operating member is disposed on the applicator and is configured to control the pressurized fluid.
Abstract:
An apparatus for an adjustable flow edge seal applicator comprises a housing, a moveable applicator, and at least one channel. The housing has a cavity. The moveable applicator is moveably attached to the housing. The at least one channel has an inlet in communication with the cavity and an outlet in communication with the moveable applicator.
Abstract:
A liquid applicator for applying a liquid to a surface with an improved liquid delivery process. The liquid applicator includes a container having a container body that includes an opening and a chamber that is configured to receive and hold the liquid; and, a housing assembly removably attached to the container, the housing assembly including a liquid application element and a nozzle that delivers the liquid from the chamber to the application element, wherein the nozzle is configured to deliver the liquid from the chamber to the application element when the housing assembly is positioned in a first position with respect to the container, and wherein the container body comprises an interface, a main body portion, and a base.
Abstract:
A non-drip applicator that allows easy lubrication and seasoning of barbecue grilling grates or griddle cooking surfaces in an easy, fire safe, and efficient manner is described and claimed. The tool includes a body, an applicator, and, optionally, an irrigation system. The applicator may retain a supply of cooking oil therein, or cooking oil may be transferred to the applicator via the irrigation system. The application of pressure to the applicator by pressing it against the grill cooking elements causes cooking oil to be transferred from the applicator to the cooking elements. The applicator may be rotatably connected to the tool body, allowing the user to oil the grill by rolling the applicator along the grill cooking elements.
