摘要: The present invention relates to an antenna board assembly and an antenna apparatus including same. In particular, the antenna apparatus comprises an antenna board assembly including: a reflecting panel which is provided to reflect forward antenna beams radiated from a plurality of array antenna elements provided in front; a rear panel which is stacked and coupled to the rear surface of the reflecting panel and composed of a non-conductive material; and a front panel which is stacked and coupled to the front surface of the reflecting panel and composed of a non-conductive material, wherein the rear panel and the front panel are formed as a single body through dual injection molding so as to be stacked and coupled with respect to the reflecting panel. Therefore, the present invention provides the advantage of making it possible to improve system performance through the reduction of insertion loss.

摘要: The disclosure concerns an antenna assembly having a substrate with an antenna radiating element and a ground conductor disposed on the substrate, the ground conductor further characterized by a plurality of ground resonators, wherein a length associated with each of the ground resonators increases as the ground resonators are distanced from the antenna radiating element. Additionally, a coaxial cable is routed around the antenna assembly for configuring the coaxial cable as an additional ground resonator associated with the antenna assembly. The resulting antenna provides wide band performance between 700 MHz and 2700 MHz with improved efficiency compared with conventional antennas.

摘要: An angle-of-arrival antenna system uses two orthogonal arrays of patch antenna elements to measure the angle of arrival of a wireless signal irrespective of its polarization. Each antenna element has an antenna patch located over a corresponding ground patch. A shorting wall directly electrically connects one edge of the antenna patch to a corresponding edge of the underlying ground patch. The edge of the ground patch is also directly connected to a system ground plane. No other edges of the ground patch are connected to the system ground plane. The shorting wall acts as an impedance that isolates the ground patch from the system ground plane, and therefore improves isolation between the antenna elements. The antenna system may be constructed using conventional circuit-board fabrication techniques by implementing each shorting wall as an array of plated through-holes or slots.

摘要: The teachings of the present application generally for an ultra-high frequency (UHF) antenna assembly which provides for a smaller package size with the same or better efficiency as a much larger antenna, particularly between 100 MHz to 500 MHZ. Particularly, through the combination of components and structures for implementing frequency selective surfaces (FSS) and high impedance structures (HIS) in combination with an anisotropic magneto-dielectric material, the present teachings provide for the use of both lower and higher frequency techniques through the operational frequency band and miniaturization, accurately improving the performance of UHF satellite communication antennas. Specifically improving performance in narrowband, with increases in efficiency, bandwidth, and lowered elevation angle radiation characteristics.
