A versatile mobile utility cart or vehicle using either tracks, wheels or both for suspension and steering with propulsion coming from but not limited to an internal combustion engine or an electric motor. The vehicle is meant to be a utility workhorse with the ability to load and unload itself as well as drag or carry materials. The vehicle can be configured in many ways to do many tasks with the main feature being labor savings. One of the unique features of the vehicle is a loading system called a fork and foot system. For transport the forks and feet system can be raised or detached individually or as a system, this is beneficial when unloading. The foot may remain attached and used for stability. Detaching the fork and foot system as a system allows the vehicle to be used for other tasks including but not limited to: a dump vehicle; a skidder; a reel carrier; a fork lift/carrier; and a prime mover or base for brush chippers, stump cutters, tree spades and more.

The locking mechanism operates to secure a movable arm to the pivot frame 2 to stop pivotal movement relative to one another, which also facilitates the movement required for dumping of the contents of the container while mounted on the vehicle. The Locking device is automatically allowed to move to the locked position by the movement of the jib away from the arm, preferably in a telescoping manner. This movement occurs as the last step in the sequence of container loading to thereby automatically provide locking between the arm and the pivot frame 2 to prevent pivotal relative movement therebetween whenever the container is in the loaded position or is in dumping mode. As the container unloading sequence is initiated the jib moves toward the arm or telescopingly thereinto which powers unlocking of the locking mechanism as the first step in the sequence of container unloading.

The apparatus for warning the loading excess of vehicle senses an overload state through the medium of both the disc proportionally rotated according to a vehicle's load and the diodes, sequentially calls the driver's attention to the overload by using the warning lamp and the warning sound, prevents a component such as a shock absorber from being damaged, lengthens the vehicle's lifetime, lets the driver drive more safely, and thus prevents a traffic accident caused by the unreasonable driving under the loading excess state.

An apparatus is disclosed for identifying containers from which refuse is collected by a refuse-hauling vehicle. The apparatus includes a device that provides a unique machine-readable code for each of the containers. A sensor on-board the vehicle interrogates the device containing the unique code and retrieves the code in conjunction with the loading of the refuse into the vehicle. An electronic processor is responsive to the sensor for collecting the unique code and compiling a historical record of the containers from which refuse has been collected. Preferably, the apparatus includes a weighing device on-board the vehicle for sensing the weight of the refuse in a container and generating weight data, which is delivered to the electronic processor for correlation with the unique code in the historical data base.
