The nonwoven fabric includes a plurality of open areas continuously formed along a predetermined direction with a predetermined interval and a plurality of joining portions, each of which are formed between the open areas adjacent to each other in a predetermined direction.

摘要： An absorbent article that enables the presence of moisture, for example, derived from urination to be correctly recognized. The absorbent article includes an outer sheet that is provided on a side facing a wearer's skin, i.e., on its side facing a liquid-absorbent structure with moisture visualizing elements. The moisture visualizing elements are formed by coating the outer sheet with hot melt composition comprising pH indicator mixed with pressure-sensitive adhesive ingredient. Two or more stripes of the hot melt composition forming the moisture visualizing elements extend in a longitudinal direction Y. Between the moisture visualizing elements and the liquid-absorbent structure, there is provided a cover sheet having a sufficient area to cover the moisture visualizing elements completely in the longitudinal direction as well as in the transverse direction and being bonded to at least one of the outer sheet and the absorbent structure. As the cover sheet, a hydrophobic fibrous nonwoven fabric exhibiting a water pressure resistance in a range of 40 to 500 mm is used.

The non-woven fabric 5 includes a plurality of high-density regions 11 and a plurality of low-density regions 12 dispersedly formed in a planar direction thereof. The high-density regions 11 are formed dominantly on at least one side of the non-woven fabric 5, and the low-density regions 12 are formed communicating both sides thereof.

The separator has a front end and a rear end both extending in a transverse direction of the crotch region and elastically extensible and contractible. In a transversely middle of the crotch region, these front and rear end edges are spaced from the inner surface of the absorbent chassis and joined integrally with each other.
