Abstract:
A bearing device includes: a journal part, a main bearing, a cylinder block, and a bearing cap. One half bearing held by the cylinder block includes: a first circumferential oil groove and a second circumferential oil groove being formed at positions opposite to an inlet of an oil passage of the journal part; a separation part separating the first circumferential oil groove and the second circumferential oil groove; and an oil hole penetrating from the first circumferential oil groove to an outer circumferential surface. A length L1 in a circumferential direction of the separation part at a position in the inner circumferential surface of the one half bearing is smaller than a length L2 in the circumferential direction of the inlet of the journal part.
Abstract:
A main bearing for a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine has first and second half bearings forming an axial groove on an inner circumferential side of a butting portion. Each half bearing has a main cylinder portion including a central portion in a circumferential direction, and crush relief portions each extending toward the central portion from an end surface of the half bearing in the circumferential direction with a center angle of 3° to 15°. A plurality of crush relief grooves are formed in each crush relief portion to extend in the circumferential direction and communicate with the axial groove. The first half bearing has an oil groove extending in the circumferential direction and a transition region having an inward protruding curved surface with a wall thickness becoming thinner toward the crush relief portion from the main cylinder portion.
Abstract:
A slide bearing for internal combustion engines includes a metal layer having an inner peripheral surface extending along at least a part of a cylindrical shape and a resin coating layer formed on the inner peripheral surface. The inner peripheral surface has annular or helical groove sections extending in a generally circumferential direction of a cylindrical shape such that the inner peripheral surface has protrusion sections, which are arranged adjacent to each other in an axial direction of the cylindrical shape and which extend in the generally circumferential direction. The resin coating layer matches the shapes of the groove sections and the protrusion sections. When t is average coating thickness of the resin coating layer at positions different from crests of the protrusion sections and Rpk is reduced peak height of the resin coating layer, t and Rpk satisfy the following relations: 1.0 μm≦t≦5.0 μm; and 0.06≦Rpk/t≦5.04.
Abstract:
A main bearing for a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine comprises a pair of semi-cylindrical bearings. An oil groove extends on an inner circumferential surface of one semi-cylindrical bearing in a circumferential direction so that the center thereof in an axial direction aligns with that of an inlet opening of a lubricating oil path in a journal section of the crankshaft. The oil groove does not extend up to an axial direction groove formed at a joint portion of the semi-cylindrical bearings so that a separation inner circumferential surface extends between a circumferential direction end portion of the oil groove and the axial direction groove. The length of the separation inner circumferential surface is smaller than that of the inlet opening in the circumferential direction.

Abstract:
An object of the present invention is to provide a sliding member which can slide for a longer period of time even in a dry state. In the present invention, the sliding member is provided with a sliding layer 3 containing 1 to 20 vol % of bismuth powder and/or bismuth alloy powder, 20 to 60 vol % of metal powder, and 1 to 20 vol % of a solid lubricant, the sum thereof being not more than 70 vol %, and the balance being a thermosetting resin. Therefore, a large quantity of metal powder and bismuth powder and/or bismuth alloy powder are mixed with the thermosetting resin in the sliding layer 3, so that the thermal conductivity in the sliding layer 3 is improved, and hence heat does not accumulate in a sliding layer portion, by which seizure can be prevented.
Abstract:
A sheet electrode with a predetermined thickness for an electric double layer capacitor is made by carrying out a roller rolling step in which a long sheet intermediate is made from a material containing a carbonaceous powder, a conductive assistant and a binder and thereafter. The sheet intermediate is passed between a pair of rolling rollers to be wound up by a winding section while being drawn out of a drawing section. The roller rolling step includes drawing the sheet intermediate out of the drawing section under a predetermined tension applied to the sheet intermediate, and controlling a widthwise position of the sheet intermediate immediately before the rolling rollers by an edge position controller, and winding the sheet intermediate rolled by the rollers onto a winding section while the winding section is applying a predetermined pressure to a rolling side drive roller located adjacent to the winding section and rotated at a predetermined speed.
Abstract:
A method of making a polarizable electrode for an electric double layer capacitor, includes adding a binder assistant to a binder so that the binder is swollen and mixing a carbonaceous powder, a conductive assistant and thereafter the swollen binder, thereby obtaining a material mixture, kneading the material mixture into a primary forming material, forming the primary forming material into a secondary forming material, and rolling the secondary forming material into a sheet shape.
Abstract:
In prior art, the wear resistance and frictional properties of a sliding member are improved by adding bismuth, an alkaline earth metal salt or the like, but not lead, to a polytetrafluoroethylene used as a base resin, in view of the undesirable influences of lead on the environment. However, a further improved wear resistance at a high PV value has been desirable. In the present invention, a sliding member having excellent wear resistance and frictional properties even when used at a high PV value can be obtained by using a thermosetting resin as a base resin in a proportion of 50 to 80 vol % and adding thereto a PTFE with a molecular weight of 3,000,000 or more in a proportion of 10 to 40 vol % and bismuth and/or a bismuth alloy in a proportion of 1 to 20 vol %.
