Abstract: The present invention relates in general to communication systems, and more specifically towards methods, systems, and devices that help improve transmission rates and spectral efficiency of intensity modulated (IM) or power modulated channels utilizing multi-level pulse amplitude modulation PAM-M. In an embodiment, the present invention used an iterative algorithm to open the eyes of an eye diagram in a relatively short number of steps. The algorithm, which may not require previous characterization of the channel, utilizes pseudo-random sequences, such as PSBS15 or PRQS10, and adaptive non-linear equalizers to optimize the pre-distortion taps.

Abstract: A fiber-optic adapter with enhanced alignment is described. The adapter has two opposing housing halves and two opposing floating connector latches. Each housing half has a channel. Abstract: A high density fiber enclosure system includes a chassis, cassette trays, an optional unification clip, cassettes, and an optional trunk cable management system. Abstract: The present invention is directed to a cable routing system with a bracket that joins adjacent cable trays. The bracket includes a main body with upper members, a bottom member and sides. The upper members have a space therebetween to retain transverse wires of adjacent cable trays. The sides include generally C-shaped arms extending from the sides of the main body and along the back of the main body. When the bracket is secured to the adjacent cable trays a longitudinal wire of each cable tray is positioned between the upper members and the sides of the main body.

Abstract: A shuttered adapter is described that includes a shuttered housing, a shutter sub-assembly frame contained within the housing, a pair of shutter doors hingedly secured to the shutter sub-assembly frame, and a door spring configured to push the shutter doors outward from the shutter sub-assembly frame and away from each other. The shuttered housing can have a separable sleeve retention insert which allows a ledge to be molded inside the shuttered housing. The ledge can be configured to abut the front lower surface of the shuttered doors when the doors are pushed outward from the shutter sub-assembly frame.
