摘要: Methods and systems for determining pressure changes across at least two fuel vapor storage canisters are described. The methods and systems may include determining the pressure changes via a sole pressure sensor. In one example, fuel vapor canister bypass passages are provided to determine pressure values at a plurality of positions within an evaporative emissions system.

摘要: Methods and systems for deicing an engine air intake filter and an engine throttle are described. The methods and systems may include activating an evaporative emissions system heater and a pump to de-ice the engine air intake filter and the engine throttle. The deicing may be performed when an engine of a vehicle is not operating.

摘要: A vehicle includes a fuel tank and an evaporative-emissions system having a primary subsystem and an auxiliary subsystem. The primary subsystem has a fuel-vapor canister in fluid communication with the fuel tank to capture fuel vapors of the fuel tank. The auxiliary subsystem is configured to capture fuel vapors associated with an external fuel-storage device. The auxiliary subsystem has an auxiliary port located on an exterior of the vehicle and is configured to connect with the external fuel-storage device. The auxiliary port is selectively connected in fluid communication with the fuel-vapor canister by a valve.

摘要: Methods and systems are provided for diagnosing potential degradation of a fuel tank pressure sensor. In one example, a method may include, in response to an ambient pressure reading by the fuel tank pressure sensor during an evaporative emissions (EVAP) system diagnostic, applying vacuum to the EVAP system and indicating degradation of the fuel tank pressure sensor if the canister undergoes an endothermic reaction. If the fuel tank pressure sensor is determined to not be degraded, the method further includes distinguishing between the ambient pressure reading being caused by a leak in the EVAP system and a canister purge valve being stuck closed.

摘要: Methods and systems are provided for diagnosing leaks/degradation in a fuel system. In one example, a system for a vehicle may comprise a variable volume device disposed within a fuel tank; an atmospheric port of the variable volume device fluidly coupled to a vent line upstream of a hydrocarbon sensor housed in the vent line, the vent line coupling a fuel vapor canister to atmosphere; and a controller storing instructions for monitoring output of the hydrocarbon sensor; and generating an indication of a degradation in the variable volume device based on the monitored hydrocarbon sensor. In this way, it is possible to effectively detect a degradation/leak in the variable volume device with minimal specialized components in the fuel system.

摘要: Methods and systems are provided for an evaporative emission control system. In one example, a method may include halting a dispensing of fuel to a fuel tank during a refueling event by increasing a backpressure in the fuel tank. The halt to fuel dispensing may be executed based on one or more of an upcoming fuel vapor canister purge event and an estimated fuel vapor canister loading capacity to determine a predicted canister breakthrough. The predicted canister breakthrough may be compared to a threshold to regulate a refueling volume.
