摘要: The present invention enhances a display quality of a display device as a task. As means for solving such a task, the present invention provides a display device including a light emitting element and a switching element in a pixel, wherein the switching element is provided for supplying a power source to the light emitting element and is constituted of a first switching element and a second switching element. The first switching element and the second switching element are configured to be operated, in response to inputting of data signals into the inside of the pixel, one switching element assumes a positive bias state and another switching element assumes a reverse bias state, and the bias states are alternately changed over between the first switching element and the second switching element in response to time-sequential inputting of the data signals, and the supply of the power source to the light emitting element is performed by way of either one of the first switching element and the second switching element.

摘要: An image display device incorporates a group of pixels of two or more types, each pixel including a light source whose primary wavelength is specific to the type of pixel; a generating device for generating analog pixel signals to be input to the group of pixels from input digital pixel data, wherein the generating device has a converter to convert input digital pixel data into different output digital pixel data appropriate for each type of pixel where the output digital pixel data contains more bits than the input digital pixel data; and an input device for inputting the analog pixel signals to the group of pixels, each pixel including a light emission driver for driving the light source according to the analog pixel signal. An organic EL display device having individual R, G, and B light emission elements enables displaying in desired colors and controllable tones with reduced packaging area for the components of the organic EL display.

摘要: The present invention provides an image display capable of performing high-precision multi-gradation display while avoiding problems of a subtle noise and increase in a drive frequency. Display signal data of one frame is constructed by a plurality of sub frames of, for example, four sub frames 1/4 to 4/4. The 1/4 frame is set as an address period of an analog signal, the 2/4 frame is set as an analog gradation display period, the 3/4 frame is set as an address period of a digital signal, and the 4/4 frame is set as a digital gradation light emission period. The image display is constructed in such a manner that, in the analog gradation display period, an OLED device in a pixel emits light of time according to an analog signal voltage stored in a storage capacitor in the pixel by an analog drive signal circuit and, in the digital gradation display period, a binary light emitting operation of light emission and non light emission is performed according to a digital signal voltage stored in the storage capacitor by a digital signal driving circuit.

摘要: A display apparatus having a display pixel unit including a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix, a first driving circuit for outputting a control signal to the pixels to turn the pixels ON, the control signal depending on gray-scale information of display data, and a second driving circuit outputting a ramp waveform signal for turning the pixels on a line ON in accordance with a time-period of a scanning time-period and a scanning signal of turning the pixels on the line OFF. The ramp waveform signal includes a first ramp waveform signal and a second ramp waveform signal, and the second driving circuit outputs alternately the first and second ramp waveform signals to the pixels in accordance with the time-period of the scanning time-period.

A built-in memory configuration is provided wherein one unit of analogue image signal is generated on the basis of a memory cell signal selected by not less than two lengths of select metal interconnects form a select circuit, and outputted by not less than two lengths of signal metal interconnects. Memory cells of a built-in memory are disposed in staggered arrangement. Respective pixels of a display section include a pixel switch and a capacitor, and a gate of the pixel switch is connected to a vertical scanning circuit via a gate line.

摘要: There is provided a method for fabricating an image display device having an active matrix substrate including high-performance transistor circuits operating with high mobility as drive circuits for driving pixel portions which are arranged as a matrix. The portion of a polysilicon film formed in a drive circuit region DAR1 provided on the periphery of the pixel region PAR of the active matrix substrate SUB1 composing the image display device is irradiated and scanned with a pulse modulated laser beam or a pseudo CW laser beam to be reformed into a quasi-strip-like-crystal silicon film having a crystal boundary continuous in the scanning direction so that discrete reformed regions each composed of the quasi-strip-like-crystal silicon film are formed. In virtual tiles TL composed of the discrete reformed regions, drive circuits having active elements such as thin-film transistors or the like are formed such that the channel directions thereof coincide with the direction of crystal growth in the quasi-strip-like-crystal silicon film.

摘要: The invention is to provided an integrated, optical touch panel type image display device free from crosstalk with displayed images. The image display device according to the invention comprises a plurality of pixels having display brightness modulation means controlled with display signals, a display unit in which the plurality of pixels are arrayed, and a plurality of optical detecting means provided within the display unit wherein each of the optical detecting means comprises an optical detection diode for converting incident lights into signal electric-carriers, signal electric-carrier resetting means for resetting the signal electric-carriers, and output impedance modulating means for detecting the signal electric-carriers and modulating output impedances. The output impedance modulating means in the optical detecting elements are connected, in series between each other, to a Y output line and an X output line.
