A video memory stores sequentially video data of a plurality of video frames or scanning durations. With a freeze operation is commanded, the degree of coincidence between data obtained at the start of scanning and at the end of the scanning is calculated, or the degree of coincidence between two identical sounding lines but with one scanning duration apart in time therebetween is calculated. An aqueous dispersion suitable for use as various coatings is provided. The dispersion includes polyester resin (A), a water soluble organic compound (B), water (C), and a neutralizer (D). The polyester resin has an acid number of 50 equivalents/10.sup.6 g or more. The polycarboxylic acid component of the resin contains aromatic dicarboxylic acid having no metal sulfonate groups in an amount in the range of 50 to 99.99 mole percent, and dicarboxylic acid having a metal sulfonate group in an amount in the range of 0.01 to 20 mole percent based on the total moles of the polycarboxylic acid component. The polyol component of the resin contains diol in an amount in the range of 30 to 100 mole percent based on the total moles of the polyol component. The diol has an alkyl group with 1 to 3 carbon atoms on a side chain, and the total number of carbon atoms in the diol is 6 to 25. The water soluble organic compound has a boiling point in the range of 60.degree. to 250.degree. C. The components (A), (B), and (C) are contained in the dispersion in an amount in the range of 1 to 70 percent by weight, 0 to 69 percent by weight, and 9 to 99 percent by weight, respectively. This method does not require a large scale apparatus and provides stable photographic properties without substantially producing waste water and without causing crystallization of chemicals in a replenisher even after repeated regeneration, particularly when varying the amount of light-sensitive material being processed per unit time.

A power MOS transistor and a current sensing MOS transistor have a common drain electrode connected to a load. The gates of these MOS transistors are commonly controlled in response to an input control signal. A load current sensing resistor element is connected between the source electrodes of these transistors. A voltage signal sensed by the load sensing resistor element is amplified by a differential amplifier constituted by a pair of depletion type MOS transistors. The amplified output controls the MOS transistors, and the MOS transistors variably control a voltage of the input control signal to be supplied to the power and current sensing MOS transistors. The power MOS transistor, the current sensing MOS transistor, the depletion MOS transistor, the current control MOS transistor, and the like have the same conductivity type.
