摘要: In an embodiment, a plurality of keys are evicted from a first cache at a primary server. A first key is evicted from the first cache because the first key satisfied a first evict policy during a first time range. A second key is evicted from the first cache because the second key satisfied the first evict policy during a second time range, but the second key did not satisfy the first evict policy during the first time range. The plurality of keys are added to a batch file. If the batch file is full, the batch file is sent to a replica server, and the batch file requests the replica server to evict the plurality of keys from a second cache at the replica server. If the batch file is not full, the batch file is not sent to the replica server.

摘要: Techniques pertaining to scalable video codec are disclosed. According to one aspect of the present invention, a video image is analyzed and a region of interest (ROI) and a region of non-interest (non-ROI) are identified. By comparing the non-ROI image with that of a previous image, a background ignored identifier is created indicating whether the non-ROI can be ignored during encoding and decoding processes. Based on the status of the background ignored identifier, the encoder encodes the images into a basic layer (BL) and an enhanced layer (EL), and transmits the coded bit streams along with the identifier to a decoder. The decoder reconstructs the image based on the identifier and the BL and the EL bit streams.

摘要: An orthogonal gate extended drain MOSFET (EDMOS) structure provides a low gate-to-drain capacitance (CGD) and exhibits increased reliability. It has a gate electrode that is folded into the shallow trench isolation (STI) oxide region. Horizontal and vertical gate electrode segments provide gate control. It accommodates both high voltage devices and standard CMOS components on the same substrate. Reduced surface field (RESURF) technology is employed to optimize tradeoffs between high breakdown voltage and specific on-resistance. Device fabrication steps are compatible with standard CMOS flow and process modules can be added or removed from baseline CMOS technology.

摘要: An apparatus, program product and method utilize on-demand propagation of routing information to reduce the overhead associated with distributing routing information throughout a distributed computing system. The staleness of the routing information utilized in routing client requests for a particular client is gauged based upon the number and/or frequency of client requests issued for that client that require rerouting, e.g., as indicated in responses returned in response to the client requests. Once the reroutes of client requests meet a desired propagation criterion, updated routing information is then requested for the client.

摘要: A surveillance camera that includes a device for capturing video signals and that converts the video signals to optical signals. The surveillance camera has a first component with a first aperture and a second component with a second aperture. The second component engages the first component such that the first component rotates relative to the second component. The surveillance camera has a first optical component that extends through the first aperture of the first component. The surveillance camera also has a second optical component that extends through the second aperture of the second component. The first optical component is separated from the second optical component by a gap. The first optical component is operatively connected to the device. The first optical component receives the optical signals and transmits the optical signals to the second optical component across the gap to permit a continuous rotation of the first component relative to the second component. The second optical component communicates the optical signals to a destination.
