Abstract: This application relates to the wireless communication field, and in particular, to critical basic service set (BSS) parameter management methods and apparatus applicable to multiple links, for example, in a wireless local area network supporting the 802.11 be standard. In an example method includes, a first access point (AP) in a first access point multi-link device (AP MLD) generates and sends a first frame. The first frame indicates critical BSS parameter update count values corresponding to a plurality of APs in the first AP MLD and critical BSS parameter update count values corresponding to a plurality of APs in a second AP MLD. The second AP MLD is an AP MLD to which a nontransmitted AP belongs. The nontransmitted AP is in a multiple basic service set identifier (BSSID) set including the first AP.

Abstract: Embodiments provide a resource scheduling method, which can support reduction of transmission resource overheads in resource scheduling. The method is applied to a wireless local area network, where a next generation protocol followed by the wireless local area network predefines locations of resource units possibly allocated from a to-be-assigned frequency domain resource. The method includes: generating, by a sending end, resource scheduling information, where the resource scheduling information includes a bit sequence to indicate an actual allocation of a resource unit(s) from the to-be-assigned frequency domain resource, and at least some bits in the bit sequence are to indicate whether one or more of said resource unit locations possibly allocated for the to-be-assigned frequency domain resource is\are the actually allocated resource unit(s).

Abstract: A convolutional code rate matching method and a communication apparatus are provided. A puncturing pattern of a second codeword at a second code rate is obtained based on a puncturing pattern of a first codeword at a first code rate. A second puncturing location set of the second codeword is a subset of a first puncturing location set of the first codeword. When a transmit device decreases a code rate from the first code rate to the second code rate, a redundant bit is sent at a location of a complementary set of the second puncturing location set relative to the first puncturing location set. Compared with the first puncturing location set, the second puncturing location set may obtain more incremental redundant bits, to decrease a channel encoding rate. This can improve decoding performance of a convolutional code.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application disclose a communication method between multi-link devices and an apparatus, and relate to the field of communications technologies, to reduce power consumption of a station multi-link device. A specific solution is as follows: A multi-link device includes a plurality of STAs, one STA operates on one of a plurality of links, and the STA determines a primary link in the plurality of links. A STA operating on the primary link in the multi-link device may receive information sent by the AP indicating whether the STA operating on the primary link has a downlink traffic, and/or information indicating whether a STA operating on a link other than the primary link has a downlink traffic. Therefore, the STA operating on the primary link may determine a link on which the STA having a downlink traffic operates in the multi-link device.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a channel sounding method and apparatus, and relate to the communication field. The method includes: A station STA receives channel sounding frames sent by a plurality of access points APs; the STA performs channel sounding based on the channel sounding frames to obtain channel state information of each AP; and the STA sends a channel measurement report frame, where the channel measurement report frame includes channel state information of some of the plurality of APs and identifiers of the some APs, and the channel measurement report frame is further used to indicate that the some APs are selected to participate in coordinated transmission. That the channel measurement report frame is used to indicate that an AP is selected to participate in coordinated transmission can not only feedback channel state information but also reduce signaling overheads.

Therefore, a resource allocation manner of the AP can be more flexible, a frequency selective gain of an OFDMA system can be effectively improved, and a system capacity can be increased.
