    摘要: An image forming apparatus is provided for forming a first image and a second image on a photosensitive material. The apparatus includes a first light device for emitting light in accordance with the first image which follows a first path so as to be incident on said photosensitive material. A second light device emits light in accordance with the second image which follows a second path so as to be incident on said photosensitive material. A shutter mechanism selectively blocks the light emitted by the first light device. A control device controls the second light device so that the second light device emits light in accordance with the second image onto a shadow portion of the photosensitive material, the shadow portion being formed when the shutter device blocks the light emitted by the first light device. A first motor moves the shutter device in a first direction. A second motor moves the shutter device in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction and moves the shutter device between a first position outside the first path of light from the first light device and a second position within the first path of light for blocking the light emitted by the first light device.

    摘要: Apparatus for processing an end face of an optical fiber connector includes a rotatable index shaft mounted on a frame. A plurality of rotatable chucks are mounted on the index shaft so as to hold optical fiber connectors, respectively. In accordance with the rotation of the index shaft, the chucks can be moved sequentially from one index position to another so as to grind and finish the optical fiber connector. A rotatable drive gear is disposed coaxially with the index shaft. A driven gear is fixedly mounted on each chuck. A pair of first and second intermediate gears are connected to the drive and driven gears, respectively. A clutch is interposed between the pair of intermediate gears and normally connecting them together to transmit the rotation of the drive gear to the driven gear to rotate each chuck. A clutch disengagement device is provided for disengaging the clutch to disconnect the two intermediate gears when each chuck is indexed to a position where the optical fiber connector is attached to and detached from the chuck.

An original table receives a light-transparent original document such that an original image surface selectively faces upward or downward. A light source transmits light through the original while the light source is moved with respect to the original. An erasure area specifying means specifies an erasure area portion of the original document image surface while the light source is moving. An erasure area storage means stores position data of the erasure area specified by the erasure area specifying means. An original scanning means, having an optical system moved along the original table, scans the original while the original faces downward. An image forming means focuses light emitted from the original scanning means and reflected by the original and develops an image on an image forming medium to form an image. An image erasing means selectively erases an image formed by the image forming means. Control means reads out the position data corresponding to the erasure area from the erasure area storage means at any time during the operation of the image forming means and supplies the position data to the image erasing means.
