摘要: Apparatus for processing an end face of an optical fiber connector includes a rotatable index shaft mounted on a frame. A plurality of rotatable chucks are mounted on the index shaft so as to hold optical fiber connectors, respectively. In accordance with the rotation of the index shaft, the chucks can be moved sequentially from one index position to another so as to grind and finish the optical fiber connector. A rotatable drive gear is disposed coaxially with the index shaft. A driven gear is fixedly mounted on each chuck. A pair of first and second intermediate gears are connected to the drive and driven gears, respectively. A clutch is interposed between the pair of intermediate gears and normally connecting them together to transmit the rotation of the drive gear to the driven gear to rotate each chuck. A clutch disengagement device is provided for disengaging the clutch to disconnect the two intermediate gears when each chuck is indexed to a position where the optical fiber connector is attached to and detached from the chuck.

摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide a dicing blade which does not cause cracking and breaking even in a workpiece formed from a brittle material, and can stably perform cutting process in a ductile mode on the workpiece with high precision. A dicing blade 26 which performs the cutting process on the workpiece is integrally formed of a diamond sintered body 80 which is formed by sintering diamond abrasive grains 82 so as to have a discoid shape, and a content of the diamond abrasive grains 82 of the diamond sintered body 80 is 80 vol % or more. It is preferable that recessed parts which are formed on a surface of the diamond sintered body 80 are continuously provided in an outer circumferential part of the dicing blade 26 along a circumferential direction.

摘要: High pressure regions (31H to 35H) and low pressure regions (31L to 34L) are created based on the exhaust gas flow at curves in an EGR pipe (30), thereby enabling the exhaust gas pressure at inlets (21b to 26b) of gas introduction passages (21a to 26a) to be adjusted. Accordingly, regardless of the number of cylinders or whether the lengths of the flow paths of the EGR pipe (30) are the same, the exhaust pressure at the inlets (21b to 26b) of the gas introduction passages (21a to 26a) can be appropriately adjusted so any difference in pressure of exhaust gas introduced into branch pipes (21 to 26) can be reduced. In this way, the EGR rates of the cylinders can be made closer or the same such that stable combustion can be achieved, thus enabling stable engine operation to be maintained. The EGR pipe (30) is arranged weaving closely between the branch pipes (21 to 26) so space efficiency can be improved and a sufficient amount of exhaust gas can be introduced evenly into the cylinders.
