A broadcast signal receiver according to the present invention comprises a synchronization/demodulation module configured to perform signal detection and OFDM demodulation on a received broadcast signal; a frame parsing module configured to derive service data by parsing a signal frame of the received broadcast signal; a demapping and decoding module configured to convert an input signal into bit domain and to perform deinterleaving; and an output processing module configured to receive service data and to output a data stream.

The method for transmitting the broadcast signal includes encoding a broadcast service and signaling information of a transport session for transmitting components of the broadcast service, generating the broadcast signal including the encoded broadcast service and signaling information, and transmitting the generated broadcast signal.

Proposed herein is a method for transmitting a broadcast signal. The method for transmitting a broadcast signal proposes a system that can support next generation broadcast services in an environment supporting next generation hybrid broadcast, which uses a terrestrial broadcasting network and Internet network. Additionally, proposed herein is an efficient signaling solution that can encompass both terrestrial broadcasting network and Internet network, in an environment supporting next generation hybrid broadcast.

The present invention provides a method of transmitting broadcast signals. The method includes, encoding, by an encoder, data in plural PLPs(Physical Layer Pipes); processing, by a framing and interleaving block, the encoded data in the plural PLPs, wherein the processing the encoded data further includes: time interleaving, by a time interleaver, the encoded data in the plural PLPs, frame mapping, by a framer, the time interleaved data onto at least one signal frame, and frequency interleaving, by a frequency interleaver, data in the at least one signal frame; and waveform modulating, by a waveform generation block, the frequency interleaved data in the at least one signal frame and transmitting, by the waveform generation block, broadcast signals having the waveform modulated data.

The present invention provides a method of transmitting broadcast signals. The method includes, generating input packets including broadcast content data; generating a link layer packet by using the generated input packets, wherein the link layer packet includes a link layer header and a link layer payload including the generated input packets, wherein the link layer header includes a count field indicating number of the input packets included in the link layer payload, wherein the link layer header further includes a length part, wherein the length part includes a plurality of length fields as many as that the count field indicates, wherein each of the length fields indicates length of the each input packets included in the link layer payload; generating a broadcast signal including the generated link layer packet; and transmitting the broadcast signal.
