It also comprises transforming (230) the compensated frequency domain channel estimate into a time domain channel estimate, filtering (240) the time domain channel estimate to suppress noise, transforming (250) the filtered time domain channel estimate back into a noise suppressed frequency domain channel estimate, and adding (260) the estimated phase rotation in the noise suppressed frequency domain channel estimate to achieve an adjusted and improved frequency domain channel estimate.

    摘要: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for receiving a diversity transmitted signal using a Rake or G-Rake receiver in a radio system. Signals are diversity transmitted in a first and second symbol period by two or more antennas. One or more receive antennas receive the diverse transmit signals. Weights are generated to account for the correlation between the channels over which the diverse transmit signals are transmitted in the first and second symbol period and are used to weight the received signals. The weighted signals are then fed to a mutual receiver.

De-spread is performed on HS-DSCH symbols to form a matrix X of de-spread symbols. The matrix X and the channel estimates hc, the modulation scheme information and the matrix S output are used to increase the estimation accuracy of the matrix S. The previous step is repeated until the output symbols are the same as the input symbols or the number of iterations reaches a pre-defined maximum value. The matrix X and the matrix S with increased estimation accuracy are used to form an impairment co-variance matrix Ru estimate.

The relay node is configured to communicate with a base station via a donor antenna over a first link and to communicate with a user equipment via a coverage antenna over a second link. The method comprises obtaining an isolation value, based on the radio wave isolation between the relay donor antenna and the relay coverage antenna. The obtained isolation value is compared with an isolation threshold level value. The relay node is configured to communicate in full duplex mode if the obtained isolation value exceeds the isolation threshold level value, otherwise in half duplex mode. Information concerning the configured duplex mode of the relay node is transmitted to the base station.Also a method and arrangement in a base station is described.

    摘要: The present invention provides a method for transmitting pilots in a multi-carrier wireless transmission system. A wireless time-frequency transmission block is composed of N consecutive OFDM symbols in time domain and M consecutive physical sub-carriers in frequency domain, N and M are integers those are greater than or equal to 1. The method includes: partitioning the wireless time-frequency transmission block into several areas, and determining the position of pilots, of which the total number is a preset number, according to the time-frequency domain balancing principle of pilots of various antennas in various areas; inserting pilots at the pilot positions of each antenna corresponding to the antenna for transmission. In accordance with the present invention, the simultaneous transmission of multiple antennas is supported in a wireless time-frequency transmission block of a multi-carrier wireless transmission system.

A beamforming apparatus for polarized antenna array is also provided in the invention as well as a radio communication device and a system thereof. With the invention, the single-layer and dual-layer beamforming weights are determined for the cross-polarized antenna array without requiring full channel knowledge or the aid of PMI. Computation complexity is lowered and full power amplifier utilization can be achieved.

    摘要: A way for securely protecting secret information—for example, a secret key—in a programmed electronic device is provided. A technique is disclosed for protecting secret information in a programmed electronic device that includes a non-trusted memory containing software, a data memory containing the secret information, and an access restriction logic unit that is adapted to allow or block access to the secret information wherein the secret information is adapted to be used for verifying the integrity of the software. In one embodiment, when starting up the programmed electronic device, the access restriction logic unit allows access to the secret information. Then the secret information is accessed for use in verifying the integrity of the software, and subsequently the access restriction logic unit blocks further access to the secret information. Embodiments of a semiconductor device and a programmed electronic device comprising similar features are also disclosed.
