摘要： A facsimile machine with a plurality of cassettes which is capable of printing a transmission report including first data and second data on a printing sheet accommodated in the cassette where the first data being a result of the transmission and the second data being an image data of a transmitted data, said facsimile machine includes: a memory unit for storing the first data and the second data therein to be read out; an editing unit for reading out the first data and the second data from the memory unit and formulating a resultant data; a sheet size set unit for detecting and setting a size of printing sheet on which the resultant data is to be printed; a divider unit for dividing the resultant data into a plurality of block data according to the size set by the sheet size set unit; a judgment unit for judging whether the block data corresponding to the last page of report is solely the second data; and a print control unit for inhibiting printing of the second data on the last page of report when it is judged that the block data corresponding to the last page of report is solely the second data by the judgment unit.

摘要： A recording apparatus for performing recording uses a carriage mounted with a recording head moving along a guide shaft. The recording apparatus includes a magnetic linear encoder consisting of a scale element magnetized and a detection unit for detecting magnetized information magnetized to the scale element. Provided also are clicks formed on any one of the detection unit and the carriage and click engaging portions formed in the other one of the detection unit and the carriage. The clicks engage with the click engaging portions, whereby the detection unit is snap-locked to the carriage. This enables the detection unit of the magnetic linear encoder to be readily attached to the carriage and besides, when attached, prevents disorder of the information magnetized to the scale element. Further, even when a position of the carriage shifts corresponding to sheets having different thicknesses, a sliding load of the carriage does not change. Deformation and abrasion of the scale element of the magnetic linear encoder are restrained as much as possible. Moreover, the abrasion of bearings of a head of the magnetic linear encoder is eliminated.

摘要： A process for the production of a low-sulfur diesel gas oil having a sulfur content of 0.05% by weight or lower and having a Saybolt color number of -10 or higher, from a petroleum distillate having a sulfur content of 0.1 to 2.0% by weight and having an inferior color and inferior oxidation stability comprises contacting the petroleum distillate with hydrogen in the presence of a hydro-treating catalyst which has at least one metal supported on said porous carrier, at a temperature of 350.degree. to 450.degree. C., and a pressure of 45 to 100 kg/cm.sup.2 in the first step to thereby produce materials having a sulfur content of 0.05% by weight or lower, and contacting further the materials issued from the first step with hydrogen in the presence of a hydro-treating catalyst which has at least one metal supported on said porous carrier, at a temperature of 200.degree. to 300.degree. C., and a pressure of 45 to 100 kg/cm.sup.2 in the second step to thereby produce the finished low-sulfur diesel gas oil.
