Abstract:
A checking device for checking automotive suspension system comprises a rod and a work piece fixed on the rod. The work piece includes a work surface for pressing against a tread portion of the wheel. Rotating the rod can make the wheel and the suspension system connected thereto sway in a direction different from the forward rotating direction of the wheel. Then the user can find out the faults by the abnormal sound made by the respective components of the suspension system, so that the checking device for checking automotive suspension system is capable of reducing the time for finding out the faults in the suspension system.
Abstract:

Abstract:
A hair removal apparatus and method is presented. The hair removal apparatus can have a pair of tension units and at least one hair removal line. In one aspect, each of the tension units can have a first arm and a second arm that is moveable in relation to the first arm such that the distance between the distal ends of the two arms can be changed with respect to one another. In one aspect of the hair removal method, the line is configured to form an “X,” with the center of the “X” being the twist point. The hair is removed by moving the twist point past the target hair, catching the target hair in a portion of the twist point, removing it from the skin.

Abstract:
The invention relates to a component for installation in force or pressure sensors, in particular in a glow plug. The component comprises a disc-type or punched-disc type measuring element consisting of a piezoelectric material, punched-disc type or disc-type electrodes that lie on either side of the measuring element. The electrodes have contact points for contacting conductors. The component comprises in addition a respective transmission body or several transmission bodies that are located outside the electrodes, on either side of the latter. The measuring element, electrodes and transmission bodies are held together mechanically by an external, electrically insulating film.
Abstract:
A radiation generation device for generating resulting electromagnetic radiation having an adjustable spectral composition includes: a multitude of radiation elements (configured to generate a radiation element specific electromagnetic radiation, respectively, upon being activated, a first radiation element of the multitude of radiation elements being activatable independently of a second radiation element of the multitude of radiation elements; a dispersive optical element; and an optical opening; the dispersive optical element being configured to deflect the radiation element specific electromagnetic radiations, in dependence on their wavelength and on a position of the radiation element generating the respective radiation element specific electromagnetic radiation, such that a particular spectral range of each of the radiation element specific electromagnetic radiations may exit through the optical opening, so that the spectral composition of the resulting electromagnetic radiation exiting through the optical opening is adjustable by selectively activating the multitude of radiation elements.
Abstract:
A top-pan scale with a scale pan which is supported on at least one force transducer (7) of a force measurement system (5) and with a corner load sensor which outputs a signal if the weighing goods are positioned eccentrically on the scale pan. The corner load sensor (10) has a flat underside via which it can be placed on, or attached to, the scale pan or a bottom pan of the scale. The corner load sensor also has a flat upper side on which a scale pan (4) can be placed or attached. The corner load sensor (10) is connected to a positionally fixed electronic processor (22) via a force-feedback-free connection (21). Embodiments of the corner load sensor can therefore be used for a wide variety of scale designs and can be retrofitted easily.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the use of comb polymers comprising, in the main chain, repeat units which are derived from polyolefin-based macromonomers, and repeat units which are derived from low molecular weight monomers selected from the group consisting of styrene monomers having 8 to 17 carbon atoms, alkyl (meth)acrylates having 1 to 10 carbon atoms in the alcohol group, vinyl esters having 1 to 11 carbon atoms in the acyl group, vinyl ethers having 1 to 10 carbon atoms in the alcohol group, (di)alkyl fumarates having 1 to 10 carbon atoms in the alcohol group, (di)alkyl maleates having 1 to 10 carbon atoms in the alcohol group and mixtures of these monomers, where the molar degree of branching is in the range of 0.1 to 10 mol % and the comb polymer comprises a total of at least 80% by weight, based on the weight of the repeat units, of repeat units which are derived from polyolefin-based macromonomers and repeat units which are derived from low molecular weight monomers selected from the group consisting of styrene monomers having 8 to 17 carbon atoms, alkyl (meth)acrylates having 1 to 10 carbon atoms in the alcohol group, vinyl esters having 1 to 11 carbon atoms in the acyl group, vinyl ethers having 1 to 10 carbon atoms in the alcohol group, (di)alkyl fumarates having 1 to 10 carbon atoms in the alcohol group, (di)alkyl maleates having 1 to 10 carbon atoms in the alcohol group and mixtures of these monomers, for reducing the fuel consumption of vehicles.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a polymer comprising 50-100% by weight, with regard to the weight of the polymers, of repeating units, which are derived from one or more ethylenically unsaturated ester compounds of formula (I), in which R represents hydrogen or methyl; R1 represents a linear or unbranched alkyl radical with 7 to 30 carbon atoms, and; R2 and R3 independently represent hydrogen or a group of formula —COOR′, wherein R′ represents hydrogen or an alkyl group with 7 to 30 carbon atoms. The polymer is a star polymer with 3 to 21 arms and at least 3 of the arms consist of at least 40% by weight, with regard to the weight of the arms, of repeating units, which are derived from one or more ethylenically unsaturated ester compounds of formula (I), in which R1 represents a linear or unbranched alkyl radical with 7 to 30 carbon atoms, and; R2 and R3 independently represent hydrogen or a group of formula —COOR′, wherein R′ represents hydrogen or an alkyl group with 7 to 30 carbon atoms.
