Abstract:
Various adhesives are described that are resistant to relatively hot aqueous washing solutions and particularly to hot caustic solutions used in bottle washing applications. The adhesives are used to adhere polymeric labels to containers such as beverage bottles and thereby enable the labeled bottles to be subjected to multiple washing operations without label removal or debonding.

Abstract:
A drive assembly for a track-laying vehicle adapted to travel in a horizontal direction along the ground has a horizontally elongated frame having two opposite ends and upper and lower edges extending parallel to the direction between the ends, a drive wheel at one of the ends, a support fixed on the frame between the ends, and a guide on the frame extending between the fixed support and the other end along a line forming an acute angle with the direction and extending downward toward the other end. A movable support displaceable parallel to the line in the guide carries an idler wheel at the other end. A spring braced between the supports urges the idler wheel parallel to the line away from the drive wheel. A plurality of ground wheels are mounted along the lower edge between the drive and idler wheels and an endless track looped around the wheels extends parallel to the direction along the idler wheels. A drive connected to the drive wheel rotates the drive wheel and displaces the track around the wheels.

The sealant composition has a tensile strength greater than 20 PSI, preferably greater than 50 PSI, a lap shear strength greater than 20 PSI, preferable greater than 40 PSI, and the tensile and lap shear strengths balanced such that the sealant fails cohesively before failing adhesively.
Abstract:
(EN) The invention relates to a polymer comprising 50-100% by weight, with regard to the weight of the polymers, of repeating units, which are derived from one or more ethylenically unsaturated ester compounds of formula (I), in which R represents hydrogen or methyl; R1 represents a linear or unbranched alkyl radical with 7 to 30 carbon atoms, and; R2 and R3 independently represent hydrogen or a group of formula —COOR′, wherein R′ represents hydrogen or an alkyl group with 7 to 30 carbon atoms. The polymer is a star polymer with 3 to 21 arms and at least 3 of the arms consist of at least 40% by weight, with regard to the weight of the arms, of repeating units, which are derived from one or more ethylenically unsaturated ester compounds of formula (I), in which R1 represents a linear or unbranched alkyl radical with 7 to 30 carbon atoms, and; R2 and R3 independently represent hydrogen or a group of formula —COOR′, wherein R′ represents hydrogen or an alkyl group with 7 to 30 carbon atoms. The invention also relates to oil formulations comprising the inventive polymers. The inventive polymers having a high thickening action can be used, in particular, as viscosity modifiers, pour point depressants, dispersing agents and/or friction modifiers.
Abstract:
A method for organizing pre-planned medical assistance for a transport of a patient comprises the computer-implemented step of matching information about travel arrangements of medical practitioners with a request for the transport of the patient, wherein the information about said travel arrangements is contained in at least one computer-implemented database and has been stored in the database prior to the matching step. A computer system and a database comprise corresponding features. The present invention offers an economical way of providing medical assistance for a transport of a patient, and in particular a way by which high-level medical assistance can be organized with little waiting time for the patient.
Abstract:
In a method for providing medical assistance in the event of an in-flight medical emergency during a passenger flight, training is provided to medical practitioners in the handling of in-flight medical emergencies; an identification scheme is established that allows medical practitioners who completed the training to be identified; it is determined, by means of the identification scheme, if a medical practitioner who completed the training is present as a passenger of the passenger flight; and the medical practitioner is asked to provide the medical assistance. The invention improves the medical treatment of emergency patients during a flight and avoids legal uncertainties, which presently arise when a passenger who steps forward in an in-flight medical emergency is allowed to treat a patient.
Abstract:
A drive system, especially a belt drive for a multi-axial vehicle running gear, has a drive drum about which the belt is looped and provided with a ring with entrainers which engage teeth on the belt when there is slip between the belt and the drum. Limited rotation of the ring relative to the drum may be effected by elliptical spring elements coupling the ring and the drum or by clutches on the drum which frequently lock the ring to the drum so as to effect control engagement of the entrainers with the belt teeth and positive drive of the belt by the drum.
