    摘要: A system and method are provided that allow WiGig protocol adaptation layers (PALs) to operate differently from the proposed WiGig standard on top of an Internet protocol (IP) layer in order to enhance routing options for communication of the data traffic between a transmitting (source) device and a receiving (sink) device. A layering architecture is provided that allows WiGig PALs, such as WDE, to operate on top of an IP layer. A signaling mechanism is also provided that allows a negotiation, or at least an indication, of the underlying layering structure for specific data communications. Recognizing that the next generation wireless display requires technology such as WiGig WDE to support the driving demand for a cable replacement user experience and richer wireless display use cases, this PAL over IP architecture optimizes alignment of the WiGig data communication technology with other data communication technologies.

    摘要: A distributed coordination of a wireless network operating on different channels is provided by dispatching a device on each ‘home’ channel to regularly visit other ‘foreign’ channels to propagate and listen to broadcast information on these channels. The information in the broadcast packets transmitted on the home channel is relayed to the devices on the foreign channels by the dispatched device, as a ‘proxy device’ that operates on behalf of the other devices in the home channel. In a preferred embodiment, various aspects of this proxy process are optimized to reduce overhead and delays. Each channel is configured to distinguish home devices from foreign devices, to avoid contention between home and foreign devices. Acquired beacon slots on foreign channels are reserved to facilitate returning proxy devices. At the home channel, an anchor device alerts other devices of the proxy device's temporary absence and preserves the proxy device's beacon slot on the home channel.

    摘要: A system and method are provided for implementing a spectrum management analytics (SMA) algorithm that references a plurality of enumerated inputs to generate a set of output parameters for use in attempting to optimize spectrum. The SMA algorithm is a part of a cloud spectrum broker (CSB) analytic. The CSB analytic provides for:(1) Managing CSS transactions involving transfer of spectrum resources from participating primary spectrum holders (PSH's) to one or more alternate spectrum holders (ASH's); (2) Reclaiming spectrum resources from an ASH back to the corresponding PSH on request; (3) Initiating queries to PSH's based on requests from MMD's, or through other ASH's; and (4) Performing a series of predictive resource allocations that may optimize spectrum use as the MMD moves between a number of regions.
