    摘要: A positively chargeable liquid developer for electrostaticphotography comprising a non-aqueous solvent having a volume specific resistance of at least 10.sup.9 .OMEGA.cm and resin grains dispersed therein, wherein the resin grains contain a dispersion stabilizing resin which is dissolved or dispersed in a colloidal form in the non-aqueous solvent and which mainly comprises a graft copolymer composed of (1) at least one macromonomer (M) having a weight average molecular weight of from 1.times.10.sup.3 to 1.times.10.sup.5 obtained by bonding a terminal carboxyl group bonded to the main chain of a polymer containing at least one specific polymer component to an epoxy compound having at least one polymerizable double bond group, using a quaternary ammonium salt as a reaction catalyst, and (2) at least one specific monomer, which gives the definite chargeability, easily controls the charge amount, is excellent in dispersion stability and endures long-term use and storage.

    摘要: In an electrophotographic lithographic printing plate precursor comprising a photoconductive layer on an electrically conductive support having a hydrophilic surface thereon which is subjected to a process which comprises formation of a toner image on said photootoconductive layer, and then removal of said photoconductive layer from nonimage portions other than said toner image portion to form a lithographic printing plate, an electrophotographic lithographic printing plate precursor treated with a water-soluble or water-dispersible solid material (edge face treatment) at the edge face thereof and a water-soluble or water-dispersible solid adge face treatment therefor. In a preferred embodiment, the edge face treatmetment is a water-soluble or water-dispersible solid drawing material.

    摘要: A solid-state imaging device includes on a semiconductor substrate of a first conductivity type, a well of the opposite conductivity type and, in addition, a plurality of light-sensitive elements formed in the well. A reverse bias voltage applied to the semiconductor substrate with respect to the well causes charge stored in the light-sensitive elements less than or equal to a potential barrier voltage to leak out into the semiconductor substrate. On the substrate a detection circuit detects the resistance of the semiconductor substrate and a setting circuit sets the reverse bias voltage in such a manner as to keep the potential barrier voltage constant, based on the resistance detected by the detection circuit.

    摘要: An image is exposed to light after a conductive and photoconductive material has been charged so that the charge of the portion exposed to light is neutralized and a latent image is thereby formed. Toner particles in a liquid developer are adsorbed onto the non-exposed portion so that development is performed. Then, the toner particles are dried by a drying device and thus aggregated toner particles are transferred to a transferring material due to an electrostatic force. Since the toner image is temporarily dried and is transferred in the aggregated form corresponding to the shape of the image, image disorder due to liquid fluidization that takes place at the time of liquid transference can be prevented. Therefore, a high quality transferred image is obtained.
