摘要: According to the stencil making and attaching method of a printing device of the present invention, independent of variations in the detection of the stencil sheet set position detection sensor and variations in the clamped state due to curled stencil sheet, etc., it is possible to always set the image-formation start position of the stencil sheet at a regular position with respect to the drum rotation position, and consequently to improve the positional precision of the printing operation.

摘要: In a reflection type image reader having a stage glass on which an original is placed with its image facing downward to be read out by a photoelectric image reading head from the lower side so as to be converted into an electric signal, in order to make it, easy to position the original relative to the stage glass, an original positioning sheet, bearing an original positioning reference mark is placed on the stage glass in a fixed positional relationship thereto, with the original being placed between the stage glass and the original positioning sheet with its image facing downward, while a light source for original positioning is provided below the stage glass to illuminate the original from its front side, so that the image observable by the light passed through the original is referred to against the reference mark of the original positioning sheet.

摘要: A magneto-optical recording medium comprises, on a substrate, a dielectric layer, a GdFeCo reproducing layer, a non-magnetic layer, and a TbFeCo recording layer. Upon reproduction, a DC magnetic field Hex is applied in the recording direction, and a reproducing light beam is radiated while being modulated to have a low power and a high power in synchronization with a reproducing clock. The reproducing layer is a magnetic film which changes from in-plane magnetization into perpendicular magnetization at a critical temperature Tcr, which has a compensation temperature Tcomp between room temperature and a Curie temperature Tc, and which satisfies Troom

摘要: A high density optical recording medium having wide-width grooves capable of reliable tracking is provided. The optical recording medium is formed with the wide-width grooves 12 in which a width g of the groove 12 is larger than a width L of a land between the grooves. The lands 11 and the grooves 12 are formed so that a track pitch Tp is less than 1 .mu.m, and a land height h from a groove bottom surface 13 satisfies [(.lambda./(8n)).multidot.Ltan.theta.]/[Ltan.theta.-(.lambda./(8n))].ltoreq.h.ltoreq.[(.lambda./(5n)).multidot.Ltan.theta.]/[Ltan.theta.-(.lambda./(5n))] with respect to a wavelength .lambda. of a reproducing light beam and a refractive index n of a substrate. An angle of inclination of a groove side wall is represented by .theta., and the refractive index of the substrate is represented by n. Even when the width L and the height h of the land is changed due to any optical blur, the disturbance of diffracted light from a land shoulder 19 is suppressed, making it possible to obtain a stable track position control signal.

摘要: An outboard motor for a watercraft includes a simply structured fuel supply system of a smaller size and a longer life than prior fuel supply systems. The fuel supply system includes a delivery fuel tank carried by the outboard motor. Fuel is pumped from an external fuel supply tank carried by the watercraft to the delivery fuel tank by a low-pressure fuel pump located within the outboard motor. A control system controls the low-pressure fuel pump so that a predetermined level of fuel is maintained in the delivery fuel tank. The control system includes a fluid level detection sensor that detects the level of fuel within the delivery fuel tank and produces a corresponding signal indicative of the fuel level. A control unit circuit receives the fluid level signal and determines if the fluid level in the tank is higher or lower than a predetermined maximum fuel level. If the fluid level is determined to be higher than a maximum fuel level, the control unit circuit deactivates the low-pressure fuel pump. If the fluid level is determined to be lower than the maximum fuel level, the control unit circuit activates the low-pressure fuel pump.
