    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may update a capability to a network entity periodically when the complexity, power, or memory needs of the UE change. The UE may additionally update the capability upon being triggered by a network entity, during a time scheduled by the network entity, upon the expiration of a timer, etc. The capabilities may be or include explicit values for beam switching delay, or an index selecting delay values from a table previously configured to the UE, for example. Additionally, The UE and network entity may support communications according to capability values associated with a time delay between a transmitted reference signal with repetition and the UE being ready for a downlink transmission using a beam selected based on the reference signal. This capability may indicate to the network entity to avoid scheduling downlink messages during the delay.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. To indicate a precoder sequence for uplink transmissions, a base station may transmit a message to a UE that configures a sequence of at least two sets of precoding parameters. Each set of precoding parameters may correspond to an uplink message. For example, a first set of precoding parameters of the sequence may correspond to a first uplink message and a second set of precoding parameters of the sequence may correspond to a second uplink message that is subsequent to the first uplink message in a time domain. The UE may receive the message and transmit, to the base station, the first uplink message using the first set of precoding parameters and the second uplink message using the second set of precoding parameters based on the sequence of the at least two sets of precoding parameters.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. For example, a network entity may output, and a user equipment (UE) may receive, a first control message identifying a first discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle and a second, different DRX cycle for the UE to use, the first and second DRX cycles having a first and second active duration, respectively. The network entity may also output a second control message identifying periodic resources for the UE to use to monitor for a periodic signal, the periodic resources being outside at least the first active duration. The UE may monitor for, and the network entity may output, based on the periodic resources being outside the first active duration, the periodic signal during the first active duration based on updating the first active duration, updating the periodic resources, or both.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described to support guard interval (GI) configurations for multiple links. For example, a user equipment (UE) may determine a first GI duration for a first transmission reception point (TRP) and a second GI duration for a second TRP, when the UE is operating in a multi-TRP mode. The UE may determine the GI durations based on a difference in timing between signal reception from the first and second TRPs and may transmit a signal to one or both of the TRPs to indicate the GI durations. Based on the indicated GI durations, the first and second TRPs may transmit signaling to the UE that includes or implements the corresponding GI duration for each TRP. For example, the signaling may include a GI appended at the end of each symbol period that has a GI duration corresponding to the respective TRP.
