摘要: A method and system provides a face-to-face video conference. The method and apparatus comprise a conferencing system consisting of a conferencing station defining a predetermined motif, an image system for generating a substantially full scale image of a person at the conferencing station so that participants at the conferencing station feel that any images of persons displayed by the imager at the conferencing station are present and face-to-face. The method comprises the steps of receiving image data at a teleconferencing station, the image data including data corresponding to at least one person, and displaying an image corresponding to the image data at the teleconferencing station so that at least one participant at the teleconferencing station views an image of said at least one person, thereby providing a face-to-face presence environment whereat the image of at least one person appears substantially life size. The teleconferencing method may further include the steps of generating image data corresponding to an image, transmitting at least a portion of the image data corresponding to at least a portion of the image to a teleconferencing station and displaying the portion of the image data at the teleconferencing station during a teleconference.

摘要: A system and method are provided for establishing a communication link between an on onboard computer system (OCS) of a mobile platform and a central computer system (CCS) located remotely from the mobile platform. A message containing data to be downloaded from the OCS to the CCS is sent from a first portion of an electronic log book function (ELB1) of the OCS to a second portion of a communications management function (CMF2) of the OCS. The message is configured into a transmittable data file and placed into an outgoing queue of the CMF2. The CMF2 automatically selects at least one desired communication channel from a plurality of available communication channels utilizing a configuration file of the CMF2. The CMF2 establishes a secure link between the OCS and the CCS utilizing the automatically selected communication channel and sends the transmittable data file to the CCS, via the secure established link over the automatically selected channel.

摘要: A system and method of compensating for effects of on-chip processing variation on an integrated circuit. The integrated circuit is divided into a set of regions. Then, a region control logic, included in each region, predicts a processing variation in each respective region of the integrated circuit. Finally, each region control logic automatically selects one of a set of available power settings to power each one of the respective regions, in response to the region control logic predicting the processing variation, wherein the processing variation of each of the set of regions is minimized.

摘要: A method and apparatus are provided for implementing AC power dissipation control during scan operations in scannable latch designs. A scannable latch has a functional data output and a scan data output. A switching control is provided with the functional data output. The switching control is driven to prevent switching of the functional data output during at least part of the scan operations. Then the switching control is disabled enabling switching of the functional data output during functional data operations.

摘要: A solid state (light emitting diode) lamp in numerous configurations have improved thermal management by providing a direct thermal pathway from the plurality of LED chips to the threaded screw base (standard 100˜240 VAC lamp socket), or power coupling. The control circuitry is disposed opposite the printed circuit board and LED chips with respect to the heat sink so that the heat sink is interposed between the printed circuit board and the control circuitry. The LED chips are powered using a high voltage/high current configuration. The light radiation pattern is infinitely adjustable (very wide through very narrow) via a system of easily interchangeable lenses. The solid state lamps can be mass produced rapidly at significantly lower cost with very high luminous intensity. ESD protection may be included to protect the LED chips from electrostatic discharge damage.

摘要: Various systems and methods for performing trapping in relation to one or more variable color objects are disclosed. As one example, a method is disclosed that includes identifying two or more objects with each of the objects being associated with a respective color. At least one of the associated colors is a variable color. The other color may be either variable or constant. A trap zone is defined in relation to the identified objects, and a transfer function is formed that defines a trap attribute for at least a portion of the trap zone. The trap attribute may be, but is not limited to, a trap direction and and/or ink in the trap zone. Such a trap direction may be, but is not limited to, a choke and a spread. Other examples are also disclosed.
