Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication technique for converging an IoT technology with a 5G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate beyond a 4G system, and a system therefor. The present disclosure may be applied to an intelligent service (for example, a smart home, a smart building, a smart city, a smart car or connected car, healthcare, digital education, retail business, a security and security related service, or the like) on the basis of a 5G communication technology and an IoT related technology. A method for a terminal according to the present disclosure comprises the steps of transmitting a random access preamble through a resource associated with a resource through which a downlink synchronization signal has been received; receiving a random access response message to the random access preamble; and decoding the random access response message by using information determined on the basis of the resource through which the downlink synchronization signal has been received.

Abstract: A communication method and a system for converging a fifth generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a fourth generation (4G) system with an internet of things (IoT) technology are provided, which may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. A method and an apparatus for transmitting a reference signal are provided. The method includes receiving, from a base station, a first parameter and a second parameter associated with a sound reference signal (SRS) by higher layer signaling, identifying a bandwidth for the SRS based on the first parameter and the second parameter, and transmitting, to the base station, the SRS based on the identified bandwidth for the SRS.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to a 5G or pre-5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data transfer rate following a 4G communication system such as LTE. To accomplish the objective mentioned above, a method for transmitting and receiving a signal at a terminal in the mobile communication system according to one embodiment of the present application comprises the steps of: receiving, from a base station, a reference signal generated on the basis of a first filter; determining channel information on the basis of the received reference signal; transmitting the determined channel information to the base station; receiving, from the base station, information related to a second filter determined on the basis of the channel information; and receiving, from the base station, a data signal on the basis of the second filter. According to an embodiment of the present application, it is possible to maximize the signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) while minimizing spectral interference in the event of multiuser connection, by using a prototype filter application method and system structure.

The FBMC symbol transmission method includes determining a truncation point of a first FBMC symbol overlapping a transient transmission duration based on an energy distribution characteristic of a first filter applied to the first FBMC symbol, wherein the first FMBC symbol is to be transmitted in a non-transient transmission duration, truncating the first FBMC symbol at the truncation point in the transient transmission duration, changing an energy characteristic of a second filter, filtering the first FBMC symbol using the second filter, filtering FBMC symbols positioned within the non-transient transmission duration based on a non-transient transmission duration characteristic; and transmitting the filtered FBMC symbols at a corresponding transmission timing.
