摘要: Line cards receive control packets and perform a hierarchical rate limiting on those control packets. A set of identifier keys are extracted from the control packets and the protocol of those control packets are determined. At a first level, the control packets are rate limited per unique set of identifier keys per protocol. Those packets which fail the first rate limiting level are dropped. Those packets which pass the first rate limiting level are rate limited at a second level per protocol type. Those packets which fail the second level rate limiting are dropped while those packets which pass the second level rate limiting are sent to the control card for further processing.

摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed to support partial physical addressing modes on a virtual machine. An example method disclosed herein identifies a change of a first translation mode to a second translation mode on a host hardware platform, the host hardware platform including a processor, the processor further including region registers; identifies an address as cacheable or non-cacheable; saves contents of the region registers for the first translation mode to processor memory; updates content of the region registers corresponding to the second translation mode; identifies a change of the second translation mode to the first translation mode; and populates the region registers with the contents of the saved region registers corresponding to the first translation mode.

摘要: An improved de-entrainment device for use in distillation towers, especially vacuum distillation towers used for fractionating petroleum atmospheric resids comprises a baffle which is to be located in the portion of the tower below the feed zone and at the top of the flash zone. The baffle is in the form of an apertured plate above the stripping zone and in its preferred form comprises number of radial fins or blades, resembling a static fan with openings between the fins to permit vapors from the lower portions of the tower to pass upwards through the baffle with a minimal pressure drop. The fins of the baffle are preferably oriented at an angle between 30° and 60° away from the incoming feed so that the incoming feed stream skims over the top edges of the fins.

摘要: Methods and systems for detecting and correcting for undesirable vibrations impacting the servo systems in data storage devices. A detection technique is provided wherein a detection filter is configured to scan a position signal of the servo system across a range of frequencies, and, at each respective scanned frequency, record an amplitude associated therewith. The recorded amplitudes are examined to determine whether any exceed a threshold, thereby locating a peak frequency of the vibration. Using the detected peak frequency of the vibration, a corrective filter is configured to operate about the peak frequency of vibration, thereby reducing its impact on the position signal in the servo system. Optimum detection and correction filter structures are disclosed, as are techniques for addressing filter state vectors as initial conditions as the corrective filters are repeatedly engaged during successive settle-out and track follow cycles (between seeks), as are continuous adaptation techniques for changing vibration environments.

摘要: A method and system for reducing positioning noise in a data storage system are provided. An access device is positioned over a data storage medium using a stream of bursts stored on the medium. The bursts are sensed at a frequency determined by the rate at which the medium is moved relative to a sensing device. Output positioning values are provided to position the access device at a frequency higher than the frequency at which the positioning bursts are sensed, and/or at random times. The random times may be calculated as random advances or delays from time points occurring at a fixed frequency.
