摘要: As a program tool of the embodiment estimating the peak of power consumption, primary processing is performed in which logic simulation is executed in a first time period to extract operation data of a gated clock for every predetermined section within the first time period, e.g. operation waveform data or data on the number of operations. Then, a narrowed section, which is composed of one or more sections and in which the switching activity per unit time is higher compared to other sections, is discovered, the switching activity being obtained from the operation data, and this narrowed section is taken as a second time period. Then, secondary processing is performed in which logic simulation is executed in the second time period to extract signal waveform data for every clock cycle and obtain power consumption data corresponding to the clock cycles from the extracted signal waveform data.

摘要: A logic simulation is executed for a first netlist, activity rate data is determined for the gated clock buffer, the power consumption is calculated from the activity rate data. Thereafter, given a modified second netlist having at least a portion of the cells of the first netlist, activity rate data for the second netlist is determined from activity rate data for the first netlist, based on the correspondence relation between the gated clock buffers for the first and second netlists. The power consumption is calculated from the activity rate data thus determined. By this means, the power consumption can be estimated for the second netlist without again performing a logic simulation.

摘要: An electronic apparatus (200) comprises processors (20)-(22), devices (30)-(33), and a peak power-managing unit (10). The peak power-managing unit (10) includes a power information storage unit (11) operable to store a total power consumption value, and a suspended request storage unit (12) operable to store suspended use requests. Each of the processors (20)-(22) addresses, to the peak power-managing unit (10), a use request for the use of a target device among the devices (30)-(33). The peak power-managing unit (10) issues a device use permit notification to the processor when determining that the operation of the target device still maintains an added total power consumption value within a specified value. Upon receipt of the device use permit notification, the processor sets up a course of action to be provided by the target device. As a result, controlled peak power is provided, and the devices can be run according to updated information.

摘要: The object of this invention is to provide a novel protein that is an Al-activated malate transporter of a plant, and to provide a gene encoding the protein. To deal with this object, present invention provides ALMT1-1 gene, a novel gene derived from wheat, and ALMT1-1 protein encoded by the gene. The ALMT1-1 protein is a protein functioning as aluminum-activated malate transporter. As malate forms complex with Al to inactivate the Al ion, the ALMT1-1 protein is involved in Al tolerance of a plant. Therefore, Al tolerance can be rendered to a plant using the ALMT1-1 gene that encodes the ALMT1-1 protein.

摘要: In storing data in one file, consisting of a plurality of blocks of data, a first code is generated by converting a password and a predetermined portion of each of the blocks of data. This portion may be, for example, the data block itself or identification information such as a name. The code is stored in correspondence to the stored data. In reading the stored data, a second code is generated by performing the same conversion on the password and the predetermined portion of the stored data. A comparison is made between the generated second code and the first code stored. Failure of the two to match indicates that an improper rewrite has occurred. In such a case, that occurrence may simply be noted, access to the data may be prohibited; more generally, what processing is performed, or is permitted, is varied according to the result of the comparison.

摘要: A non-linear digital emphasis circuit for non-linearly emphasizing a high frequency component of an input digital video signal in accordance with an amplitude of the digital video signal. This emphasis circuit comprises: a digital filter for emphasizing the high frequency component of the digital video signal; and a memory in which a data conversion table to non-linearly compress the amplitude of the digital video signal is written and to which the digital video signal is supplied as an address input. The respective polarities of the address input of the memory and of the readout output therefrom are inverted by a polarity inverter in accordance with the polarity of the digital video signal. With this emphasis circuit, an error of the frequency characteristic and time and temperature changes thereof are not caused and no adjustment of the characteristic is needed. Also, this circuit can be formed as an integrated circuit by utilizing only digital circuits.
