摘要: A method of making a bio-based, slow recovery polyurethane foam includes preparing an aqueous mixture that includes a resin and an additive. The resin, the additive, or both, can be bio-based. The method can include combining a hydrophilic polyurethane prepolymer with the aqueous mixture. The method can include chemically reacting the hydrophilic polyurethane prepolymer with the aqueous mixture to create a foam mixture. Chemically reacting the hydrophilic polyurethane prepolymer with the aqueous mixture may generate a foaming agent that includes carbon dioxide.

摘要: A reaction system for forming a viscoelastic polyurethane foam includes an isocyanate component that has at least one isocyanate and an isocyanate-reactive component that is a mixture formed by adding at least a polyol component, an additive component, and a preformed aqueous polymer dispersion. The mixture includes, based on the total weight of the mixture, from 50.0 wt % to 99.8 wt % of a polyol component including at least one polyether polyol, from 0.1 wt % to 50.0 wt % of an additive component including at least one catalyst, and from 0.1 wt % to 6.0 wt % of a preformed aqueous polymer dispersion. The preformed aqueous polymer dispersion has a solids content from 10 wt % to 80 wt %, based on the total weight of the preformed aqueous polymer dispersion, and is one of an aqueous acid polymer dispersion or an aqueous acid modified polyolefin polymer dispersion in which the polyolefin is derived from at least one C2 to C20 alpha-olefin.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to pyrrolidine-based catalysts for use in a polyurethane formulation. The polyurethane formulation includes the pyrrolidine-based catalyst, a compound containing an isocyanate functional group, an active hydrogen-containing compound. The use of such catalysts produces high quality polyurethane foam while reducing environmental concerns that can arise during the production of polyurethane foam as well as in the foam that is produced.

摘要: The thermoplastic resin composition according to the present invention includes a thermoplastic resin (A), and a modified ethylene copolymer (B) dispersed and contained therein, wherein the modified ethylene copolymer (B) in the thermoplastic resin composition has an average dispersed particle aspect ratio of 1 to 3.5, and an average dispersed particle diameter of not more than 3 μm. The modified ethylene copolymer (B) is preferably a copolymer, modified with an unsaturated carboxylic acid or a derivative thereof, of ethylene with at least one monomer component selected from the group consisting of (i) olefin components except for ethylene, (ii) diene components and (iii) ester components having an ethylenically unsaturated group.

摘要: A process for preparing polyurethane composites includes (i) providing a dispersion of nanocrystalline cellulose in (a) one or more polyols, (b) one or more isocyanates, or (c) one or more polyols and one or more isocyanate, mixed together; wherein the amount of water in the nanocrystalline cellulose is less than about 1% w/w; (ii) mixing the dispersion of (i)(a) with an isocyanate or (i)(b) with a polyol and a catalyst to allow polymerization; or mixing the dispersion of (i)(c) and a catalyst to allow polymerization; and (iii) isolating the polyurethane composite. A method for improving properties of polyurethanes includes dispersing nanocrystalline cellulose into one or both parts of a two part polyol/isocyanate precursors prior to allowing polymerization of the precursors, wherein the amount of water in the nanocrystalline cellulose is less than about 1% w/w; mixing the dispersion with a catalyst; and polymerizing the precursors to provide the polyurethane.

摘要: The present invention discloses a viscoelastic sound-absorbing polyurethane foam and a method for preparing the same, the foam being prepared by reacting a polyisocyanate composition and an isocyanate reactive component. The isocyanate reactive component comprises, based on the weight of mixed polyethers, 30-80 wt % of (bii) a copolyol of epoxypropane-epoxyethane, or a conjugate thereof, wherein the content of oxy-ethylidene unit is 5-35 wt %; 2-20 wt % of (biii) a copolyol of epoxypropane-epoxyethane, or a conjugate thereof, wherein the content of oxy-ethylidene unit is 70-100 wt %; and 20-70 wt % of (biv) a copolyol of epoxypropane-epoxyethane, or a conjugate thereof, wherein the content of oxy-ethylidene unit is 0-20 wt %. The sound-absorbing foam of the present invention has a ball rebound rate of 15-30% and good sound absorption performance.
