摘要: In a prismatic secondary battery, an internal negative electrode terminal is electrically connected to a collector through through-holes formed in a sealing plate, a gasket, and an insulating member in a manner electrically insulated from the sealing plate. The sealing plate has one face on which a protrusion is formed, an insulating plate has a face that is on the sealing plate and on which a concave portion fitted to the protrusion is formed, each of the protrusion and the concave portion of the insulating plate is provided at one position on respective sides of the through-hole, and at least one of the protrusions has a top face on which a concave portion is formed. The battery having such a structure is unlikely to cause rotary displacement between the insulating plate and the sealing plate even when a rotary torque is applied to the internal terminal.

摘要: A multi junction photovoltaic device and an integrated multi junction photovoltaic device, having a two-terminal structure, in which subsequent layers can be stacked under conditions with minimal restrictions imposed by previously stacked layers. Also, processes for producing these photovoltaic devices. A plurality of photovoltaic cells having different spectral sensitivity levels are stacked such that at least the photovoltaic cells (2, 4) at the light-incident end and the opposite end have a conductive thin-film layer (5a, 5d) as the outermost layer that undergoes connection, the remaining photovoltaic cell (3) has conductive thin-film layers (5b, 5c) as the outermost layers that undergo connection, and the outermost layers are bonded via anisotropic conductive adhesive layers (6a, 6b) containing conductive microparticles within a transparent insulating material. The conductive microparticles in the anisotropic conductive adhesive layers (6a, 6b) electrically connect the layers in the stacking direction, and the conductive thin film layers (5a, 5b, 5c, 5d) electrically connect the photovoltaic layers (2, 3, 4) that function as bonding materials in the lateral direction (in-plane direction).

摘要: A sealing plate 12 with an electrolyte pour hole 15 is welded to an outer can 11 having a mouth portion. A resin washer 18 is formed on the electrolyte pour hole 15 so as to cover the periphery of the opening of the electrolyte pour hole and the surface of an annular convex portion 17. Next, a nozzle 23 of an electrolyte pouring device 20 is inserted in the electrolyte pour hole 15, and an electrolyte 21 is poured in. Thereafter, an electrolyte 21b adhering to the surface of the resin washer 18 is cleansed or wiped. Then, a blind rivet 16′ is used as a sealing plug 16 to tightly seal the electrolyte pour hole 15. Thus a method for manufacturing a sealed battery in which a peripheral surface of an electrolyte pour hole hardly gets clouded after manufacturing the battery is provided.

A surface portion of the protective film 16 substantially is composed of magnesium (Mg), aluminum (Al), nitrogen (N), and oxygen (O). The protective film 16 is formed so that in the surface portion of the protective film 16, a ratio of the number of atoms of the aluminum to a total of the number of atoms of the magnesium and the number of atoms of the aluminum is at least 2.1% but not more than 66.5%, a ratio of the number of atoms of the nitrogen to a total of the number of atoms of the nitrogen and the number of atoms of the oxygen is at least 1.2% but not more than 17.2%, and a ratio of the total of the number of atoms of the nitrogen and the number of atoms of the oxygen to the total of the number of atoms of the magnesium and the number of atoms of the aluminum is at least 1.0 but not more than 1.35.

摘要: A prismatic battery is provided with a fixing portion composed of projections 29Aa and 29Ba for fixing the position of a flat electrode assembly 11 and a battery outer can 12 by contacting with an insulating sheet 32 on at least one of a positive electrode collector member 16 and a negative electrode collector member 18. The insulating sheet 32 is provided between the projections 29Aa, 29Ba and the battery outer can 12. Tips 29Ab and 29Bb of the projections 29Aa and 29Ba project from the flat electrode assembly 11 towards the battery outer can 12 side. The height of the projections is smaller than the thickness of the insulating sheet 32. This prevents short-circuiting between the positive electrode collector member or the negative electrode collector member, and the battery outer can. Thus, a prismatic battery suitable for EVs and HEVs with excellent safety can be obtained.

摘要: In a chromatic dispersion and dispersion slope compensating apparatus according to the present invention, a WDM light which has been angularly dispersed to a first direction by a VIPA plate, is angularly dispersed to a second direction vertical to the first direction by a diffraction grating, and optical signals of respective wavelengths output from the diffraction grating are reflected by any one of a plurality of three-dimensional mirrors having reflective surfaces of curved shapes different from each other, to be returned to the VIPA plate. Thus, with a simple control mechanism in which the plurality of three-dimensional mirrors are moved to only the second direction, an apparatus capable of variably compensating for the chromatic dispersion and the dispersion slope independent of each other can be provided.
